We applied June 1st, got AOR1 and SA also passed medical but since then we haven’t heard anything. Background check has not begun and file hasn’t been transferred to Mexico yet. Do you all think that we should request for our notes or should we wait a little longer? TIA

There wont be much on file at this point. Wait until its transferred and you know someones on it (aor2). Its only september so you are well within time frames. This process is daunting. Try not to compare your app to anyone elses and dont set expectations. This way you cant be disappointed when things dont happen. A word about the notes- when you do order them there will be dates in there fir “bring firward” and due dates... those mean absolutely nothing so again dont expect anything on those dates. They come and go and get moved again. Wait 3 months after transfer to order

A question about Mexico and AOR2: we sent our application package to Mississauga in Oct 2017, passed medical in Jan 2018, sent Schedule A and PCC at that time. We were informed the file was being sent on to Mexico in Jan or Feb. Didn't hear anything until a couple weeks ago, when we had a request for a couple more documents related to police check, and we received AOR2. Did they just forget to send AOR2 or are they just opening our file now? Are we going to be waiting another 8 months for background check at this point?

They ask for the Police certificate or you already submitted it before? From wich country is the spouse?

My spouse is from Peru. They asked for 2 additional documents which are part of the police check process for Peru (which I hadn't sent with the original application) - Judicial certificate and Penal certificate. I'm not sure why I wasn't notified months ago that those 2 documents were missing. We had already submitted a police background check certificate back in January.
