Tourist visa in active review. How long does it take?

Hi,
I have applied for a tourist visa from Ireland (in UK Embassy) last month. I sent London immigration an email asking about the delay in visa process. They have informed me that the application is under "Active Review". I guess it means that the application is being looked at the moment. Does anyone know how long it might take to get a request for passport in this case?

Yes. It means your application is being processed.

A decision could be expected soon if the visa office wrote that your 'application is in the queue waiting for an officer to review it'

Thanks Bryanna. So, I shouldn't expect a decision this week. As it might take time to get the application to be actually looked at by a visa officer. Is that correct?
