hi
i got PPR letter in my cic account. i am in Canada and my wife is in India. but this letter is only for my wife to submit her passport in india. last paragraph of letter says if you are in canada you will contacted by visa office for landing appointment. Don't send your passport.
Congratulations!!

Yes, it's a new process they started a little while ago. Applicants residing in Canada get to activate their PR status at one of their offices, rather than having to flagpole at the border.

Hey folks!! So I received my GCMS notes and they are kindda confusing!! Few questions:
1) The secondary office is stated as CPC Ottawa. The agent told me my CIO was Sydney. So does this mean my file moved to Ottawa from Sydney? Where can I find the date when it was moved?

2) Also the dates on notes are from July. Where can I find when the file was last updated?

3) and the status of security is not started- what does security involve? Work, travel?

TIA for any responses!!

You can call them at 888.242.2100 and the Agent will be able to verify whether an appointment has been made.

However, my own file was approved on August 30 and I only got my appointment email last Thursday. Generally, they send out these e-mails between 2 to 4 weeks after file approval, so you're still within this timeframe. If no appointment has been made yet, the Agent will likely tell you to wait until the 4 week period has elapsed.
I called agent this morning. He said he was not sure about the landing appointment and he sent me request for information form. Am going to submit the form today. Not sure on what needs to be done. Any suggestions?

Congratulations, buddy.
Can you elaborate about the PPR letter in your account? Like what's the title(a screenshot would be appreciated.) and do you receive an email in your mail box?

I'm not 100% sure what information Agents can see...When I called, the Agent explicitly told me she didn't see any emails that were sent to me, implying that this is information they have access to...

Good plan to submit the form. Just follow his instructions and you'll be fine - it's likely they just don't have any appointment slots available yet anytime soon, which is why they are taking a while with their PPR email. As far as I can tell, virtually all Inland applicants nowadays get interview appointments which obviously creates a huge queue.

It's very common for several offices to be involved in the processing of your application - this doesn't imply anything. My own application was approved exactly 2 months after AOR, and on my GCMS Notes there were CPC-Ottawa, CPC-Vegreville, IRCC Winnipeg and Immigration Vancouver.

At the bottom you have all the notes from the Analyst/Officer - these are the latest "touches" they made on your application. If the last "touch" dates from July, they may need some additional time for some steps (which doesn't need to be negative news).

Security - this is handled by CSIS, and not much is known about it, other than that it's a thorough analysis on someone's background, in which they also request information from other (foreign) authorities such as Interpol. They conduct this step for everyone. Security is usually the most time-intensive step, but it depends on the response rate of other authorities that they need to collaborate with for the information exchange.

Thanks but this activity is after EE selection is passed. Activities are listed in ascending order and this is my latest activity. Does it same for you too, in order of activities?
How do you know?
I don't think the activities are in order because in my case, first few activities regarding stream qualification is done by GCMS system. This must be done at my AOR date because same thing mentioned in Eligibility Assessments at the beginning of the note. Furthermore CPC-Ottawa was designated as my primary office and CIO was made secondary office so it is not logical to say CIO could work on eligibility when case analyst is from CPC-Ottawa. Also A11.2 is minimum entry criteria and EE Selection-Econ is the comprehensive ranking system criteria (clearing cut off) which cannot be cleared if applicants do not clear minimum FSW requirements (67 points). From case analyst's notes it is clear that he/she reviewed the notes from CIO program assistant and made recommendation.

Anyway, all these analysis we are doing actually for getting little bit of peace of mind :p. No body knows how IRCC works internally and which application will be approved when . All we can do is pray and hope. Good luck to all :)

You should tell us what you have submitted as Proof of Fund. It seems you got procedural fairness letter for POF. How did you accumulate the fund? Did you submit bank statement or just the bank letter? If you have received the money as a gift then did you submit any gift deed?
