Hi @legalfalcon CIC has written asking for passport bio page for me and my wife and height and eye color for both. It just says in order to proceed further they need these additional documents. Any idea why they are asking these?

It is a part of security. Just send it in, no need to worry. They will entry these details in the system and run it to compare it with the database. No need to be concerned/

Do we need police clearance certificate from all countries we have travelled for the past 10 years?

• For the applicant’s current country of residence, the police certificate must have been issued no more than 6 months before the submission of the e-APR.
• For countries in which the applicant no longer resides, the police certificate must have been issued after the last time the applicant stayed in that country for 6 months or more in a row.
• Police certificates meeting the above requirements can be accepted even if they have an expiry date that has passed.
• This includes the requirement to provide a police certificate for countries in which the individual has travelled for 6 months or more in a row, whether or not the individual had an established residential address during this time.
• Police certificates are required upfront and are mandatory for each country (except Canada) where an individual has spent 6 months or more in a rowwithin the last 10 years. The individual does not need to provide one for any period of time before the age of 18.
• Police certificates need to be a scan of the original police certificate(s) in colour. Certified true copies and unauthorized copies are unacceptable and will result in the application being rejected as incomplete.

Applications that do not include a required police certificate and do not provide supporting documentation where required will be rejected as incomplete.

The officer can exercise discretion when assessing whether police certificates that do not fall within standard IRCC parameters may still be required to process the application. When necessary, an officer can use discretion in their determination of whether or not a client is admissible to Canada by using other documents or mechanisms that are available to them.

Some countries will not issue police certificates to applicants, and instead will only communicate directly with the relevant Canadian authorities. In such cases, existing IRCC procedures to obtain documentation should be followed.

The IRCC website provides instructions to applicants on how to obtain a police certificate.

In exceptional circumstances, IRCC may accept both of the following:

• proof of having requested a police certificate for some countries; and
  
• an explanation of best efforts (not a guarantee of acceptance)
  • In this explanation, the applicant should explain the delay in a document and upload the document in the country-specific field. The uploaded document must show that the applicant requested a police certificate as soon as possible after receiving their invitation to apply.

In such exceptional cases, the client will be advised to upload a document into the upload field stating country-specific details that support their explanation of best efforts.

Now I got whole situation from your reply.
1)-I am PA and my eligibility,Criminality,Info sharing and security is fully complete according to Gcms notes.

2)-My husbands Criminality and security was pending bcoz of his info sharing was pending (usa visitor visa refusal)bcoz reply from USA was to be assesed by visa officer.

3)-Now I got ghost update on 6 sept and I think on that day info sharing was finally assessed by visa officer and after that they started criminality and security of my husband.

4)-From your clarification and digging Gcms notes again I think I am not in security screening and thanks to you.

5)-I know it is a silly question but how long now it will take to get ppr .Lol

I recieved ppr request in email but no msg in cic application is it okay?
2. I recieved PPR Request on 18 Sep 2018. I submitted passports and pictures on 19th Sept. Its shows under processing on vfs tracking. The status in CIC portal says under review. How long do I have to wait? Appli ation was given at vfs delhi

YEs, this is how it happens.

It will take 3-5 weeks before your passport is returned with visa and CoPR. Ony then will your status change in MyCIC

This query is related to POF.

Since few days, indian rupees are falling down against CAD.

In my Case, at the time e-AOR, my POF is around 21000 CAD for 2 person as on that day.
but i have used some money and also exchange rate are higher compare to a month ago.

what if i deposit some money now, will office consider this amount as POF?
How officer will look or verify this POF?
Does it need to be the same from the date of AOR to through out the processing of application.

Kindly clarify this.

The day you submitted your application, on that day you have to meet the PoF requirement. After that any fluctuation in currency will not matter.

I am FSW O applicant from India. At the time of AOR value of POf was 19700 CAD against min req of 19093 CAD. Now with fluctuations in INR CAD rates it is below the requirement.
My question is do they consider AOR rates which is mentioned in bank bank letter or the fluctuations as well. Kindly help.

Should I need to bother about this? can I raise CSE to explain this after one and half month of application?

while verification , do we must need to maintain the same balance as we shown into the statement?

@legalfalcon Hey!! Would you be able to help me with my gcms notes!! It said review required for POF as the funds were not enough due to currency fluctuations. So, I raised a CSE with updated funds. Then, I called the VO which is Ottawa, and they suggested to raise a CSE again as they could not see any new additional documents, hence, I raised a CSE again, to which i haven't recieved a response. I ordered gcms notes on 17 july. Do you think I should order them?? I raised the second CSE last week.
My AOR is 15 April. It's been 5 months and I haven't got any update from IRCC.

Family of two requires CAD $15531, as long as you are above it you should be fine!

@legalfalcon My AOR is Jan 2018. It’s been 8 months and no activity on my file which is in NDVO. Info sharing according to the most recent notes still says in progress which is very strange. I have not heard of a situation that it takes so long for info sharing. I did have a US student visa refusal in 2002 which i have declared.
Eligibility not started and security not started. Is there something wrong with my file?
