Hi everyone,

New to the forum. Sadly still waiting for my common-law partner to get his visa sorted so we can bail out of here and return to Canada. Wondering if I can be added to the spreadsheet please?

Medical passed: 26 Apr 2018
Transfered to LVO: 27 Apr 2018
BGC not yet started.

On a different note, we're actually considering just packing it all in, leaving London and going to Canada to await the PR status to come through. Has anyone else done that? If so, do you know if it's possible to do or would it require any additional paperwork? I believe UK citizens can go to Canada on a tourist visa for up to 6 months (correct me if I'm wrong).

Hopefully our stuff will come through sooner rather than later, but I'm just concerned that his background check hasn't even started yet. Should we be worried? Our case is actually really straightforward. No kids, no assets, etc., so I'm not sure why it's been complete radio silence since April (and it's now September).

Looking forward to hearing others stories and advice.

Hi! We are Jan 26 applicants. We got tired of waiting too (BGC hasn't started yet, transferred to LVO near the end of May) so my husband came in August on a six month visit. Hopefully our process will be complete by then! His is a simple straightforward case as well... No kids or siblings and his parents have both passed away (which is why he is now able to move to Canada to be with me...he was their primary caregiver in their final years as they were both ill and in their 80s). The waiting (and especially the silence) has been difficult.

Our situation is very similar, down to the dates. We're planning a visit to Canada next month to look at potential apartments and stuff. I wonder if we shouldn't also just say fuck it and start planning the move now.
i'm just nervous about upping and winding things up back here when we're not 100% sure of what's coming down the pipeline

In our case, which I think is also straightforward, I’ve been in Canada as a visitor to be with my husband while waiting to hear from LVO. It’s been 7 months since our application and we will wait till mid October to hear something. I wasn’t thinking of extending my visa, as got lots to sort out back home, but good to know that you can apply to be able to stay longer than 6 months. I don’t want the PR application to be compromised by doing this though.

anyone July 2017 applicant ?
22 July received application.
21 September 2017 medical passed.
file transferred to NDVO.
On 10 July 2018 case sent to LDVO from NDVO. Redid medical on 24 July 2018 and passed.
status is not change, its more than 13 months now!
contact LDVO via webform they reply : additional review is required, we will contact you in next three months if further request required.

And usually the due date for our case finalisation in there system is 2 months ahead
Like urs is february due date
my case is august 2017 and my due date is 25th september 2018
My 12 months already completed
You have to wait atleast for the initial time period of 12 months
Dont worry u will get it before december 2018

I am november 08 applicant they starting procesing my application on 26 june , do you think i will take my visa on 08 november 2018 or after , for 3-4 days i completed 3 months when my file transfered on my visa office Rome and Sa aproved medical recieve on may

I received a letter from the London visa office (LVO) asking to provide a police certificate (original).
Is the below address correct for the LVO?

I got this address from the letter they sent, it was written at the bottom of the page.

Hi All,

Although they asked me to send an ORIGINAL police certificate (PCC), in mycic account, I found the "Upload Button" available under "Documents submitted by the client" to upload the PCC they asked for.

Does this mean they are actually asking to just upload the PCC without sending the original by mail?

Hey, all im new to this thread, just found it!....I'm a Canadian citizen by birth, my wife is from the UK and we are doing an outland family class sponsorship!

our app was received Aug 27th to the Sydney office in Nova Scotia. no word yet from the office unfortunately.
is there a group chat (whatsapp/facebook) or spread sheet you guys keep track off for individuals in the same situation.
