Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2017

Hi All,

I had applied for PR for my parents. My father as the applicant and my mother as his dependent. For medicals I received two separate communications for my father and mother. For Police clearance I got single e-mail by mentioning mother and father names. Recently received an e-mail from CIC for submitting passport and photos... This communication was addressed to only father.

Question - For Passport and photographs, do we get two separate communications for father and mother or is it always only for the primary applicant ?

Please suggest...

Hi. My mom is currently here in Canada for vacation and she got her passport request. It says on the email that her passport should be valid minimum of 6 months. However, here passport is only valid for 5 months. When we reached out to the consulate they said that it will take 6-8 weeks before she can get her new passport. The IRCC gave her 30das to submit her passport. Can she just submit her current passport? Thank you in advance.

YOU answered by yourself so call to CIC and explain situation and apply for new passport ASAP / you should think about it before it happened /

How was your ecas status showing if I may ask? Does it show "Decision Made"? Mine says "Decision Made" and actually received the pre-arrival services letter and still waiting for PPR.

On the brighter side though, I guess receiving a pre-arrival services letter should be a good sign Otherwise, why would they send that letter when they will actually reject the application in the end? I guess we will just have to wait for that precious PPR letter. The waiting game can be stressful but I will still commend the people working at IRCC. Must be a total hardwork given the volume of applications they go through in a day.

No changes in the gckey account. I guess we are on the same boat. The change I saw was in ECAS and it was just this weekend. I might have to wait a week or so. But I suggest with your case since it is over a month now, you probably will have to contact them and ask.

I just want to clarify, is it decision made on the sponsorship application side? Or is it on the principal applicant's residency application?

If you havent appoint yourself as representative your parents will get the ppr letter.
