I work in london,UK and my native place is Delhi,India.

1. For PPC,
For UK PPC , I can apply online in UK
For Indian PCC, There are 2 options -
1.
I can apply online on Delhi Police website-
http://www.delhipolice.nic.in/citizen_services.html
Benefit-
A.It cost less
B.I don't have to give my passport

2.
I can apply for Police clearnace from Indian embassy VFS office in UK
Cons-
1. Expensive
2. I have to send my passport for 4-5 weeks :(

So, can i go with first approach?

2. For medical test from prescribed doctors

1. In UK Medical cost 350 pounds
2. In India, it cost Rs 5000/-

Moreover , I have to go India and I am getting the appointment in 60 days period.
So, can i get my medical done from India?

Please Suggest.

Thanks,
Sangeeta

If you're travelling to India its the best option as the cost is more in the UK. But make sure you go to only the listed panel physician.

boss... for ionian pCC .. it has to be through consulate or main office . PCC from police etc are not counted. You need specific PCC with green ink sign on it or else PCC rejected

My last date to submit the document for ITA is 23 Sept.
So, as per the guidelines I can not travel to India between this duration(after getting the PCC of India(from VFS) and before submitting the documents for PR)

I have collected all the documents except 2 -
1.Medical Report
2. India PCC

I would be travelling to India on 10th Sept and will get the medical done on 11th sept.
I am coming back from India on 24th Sept and I have taken the appointment in VFS UK for India PCC for 25th Sept

So, I will be submitting my PR documents with -
1. Medical Report from India
2. The VFS UK appointment confirmation and provide a letter of explanation.

Is there anything wrong with this approach?

if you are going to india get your pcc and medicals and apply from india. in the travel history mention your trip. pcc will only take a day in india if you are getting it from a psk from the city in your passport.

Wow Navin, that's a good option, this didn't even clicked my mind .However, there are two problem i can think of , First ,I stayed in UK for an year and today only i got the PCC for UK. So, ideally UK PCC should be after my last date of stay in UK. Second, I am showing that I am currently employed in UK( I am not sure, if that makes a difference) .

However , all my bank statements are from India and I can show India residence proof instead of UK.

thats no problem. your current residence address and stay is still UK unless you are permanently moving to india. so your uk pcc is still valid even if you took a month trip to india.

Why not get your medical and PCC done in UK. Which shouldn't take more than 2 weeks maximum. Submit your application and then go to India. This is the option with least confusion.

Just saw your travel dates. Then best is to get PCC done in India which is 1-2 days job. Then try to get a PCC from VFS as well once you are back and explain in LOE. This is just to be on safer side, as the requirement is to get the PCC after your last day in the country..
