Hello,
Reposting a query.

I got my PPR 4 days back. I'm the primary applicant and I'm in India. My wife is in USA. The mail says i need to send passports of both of us to High Commission of Canada in New Delhi via VFS.
I can give my passport to VFS but since my wife's in USA, she can't.
Options I think I have:
1. Send an email to CPC-Ottawa to change the visa office for her to USA so that she can submit her passport there for visa stamping
2. Ask them to extend the 30-day PPR window to 90 days bcoz that's when she's planning to visit India.

So my question is, do they pay heed to requests like these and how do I contact them for this request? Is there a email id anyone's aware of?
Hi @shilpabansal ,

You can send an email to the local visa office (New Delhi in your case), requesting them to process your spouse visa in USA (since her current residence is USA). Wait for the separate email from CIC/ IRCC, in which CIC/ IRCC will provide further information of COPR VISA processing for your spouse.

You can then send your passport to India visa office processing center; and your wife can process the same in USA.

So I was just informed by a cic agent that my file has moved to London VO. Ip2 on august 8.

I’m so sad now.

Hi all, thats my first message on this group. I am extremely confused about the status of my application, incase anybody could give me clarity on this it will be great.

My timeline as of now is as follows:
AOR - 27th May'2018
Med Passed - 8th June
ADR- 19th june ( needed a doc related to marital status)
ADR Provided - 20th June
ADR Status - not applicable 20th june

Curent status:
eligibility- we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirement
medical- passed
Review of ADR- not applicable
interview- do not require at this point
background check- application is in progress, will notify once the background check starts.

I spoke to an agent at CIC on the 16th of July, primarily to understand the ADR status as it showed not applicable. The agent told me my eligibility is met and my file is being processed at Ottawa. There has been no movement in my file since the 20th of june - I still seem to be in the IP1 stage. Is there anyone who has similar timelines. I applied under FSW , paid the whole fee upfront at the time of filling the application and i am a resident of India.
Hi. Is there any update on your application? My AOR is May 19th and I learnt that I have passed my eligibility too over a call to cic. After that, nothing. I've been contemplating ordering gcms notes at this stage...Any advice?

If you have completely passed eligibility there is very little info gcms can provide though you can order.

It never states much about security check. But no harm done in ordering as you are over 3 months now. Now it's just a matter of background checks.

Guys, I came in Canada in April 2018 on PR through express entry. I am getting married in September 2018. My fiance is having 471 CRS points.
Should we apply for her Pr now or we should apply after wedding?

Is there any difference in profile before/after marriage? Please suggest.

If spousal sponsorship then only post marriage.

She will get AOR now.Because I am expecting a draw on 22nd August.
We are getting married on 21st September. When we are supposed to inform CIC about change in marital status.?
Does she plan to submit before 21 Sept, if yes then post marriage.
