"Hi my mom and brother did medicals in aug 1. An Specialist referral order was given to my brother and the Dr. sent all the results yesterday Aug 14 through e medical. How long does it take to know if they have passed the exam? If no, will they request further examinations before sending a fairness letter?
I hope not to get that letter... my brother is an adult with autism and moderate developmental delay"

Have a question - my brother (age 27) has a minor development delay and he is working in joint business and not 100% reliable on parents... can we add him in parents application??
If they have to review your brother's autism case that could take up to 3 months before you see a passed status online.

Hi everyone,

could one of you please response to me below queries:
I came to Canada in Feb 2017 and so effectively have only 1 NOA. Will I be eligible to apply for parents sponsorship?
If not can I show Tax returns from previous country of residence to meet the LICO?

Regards,
Aditya

Thanks

Hi All,

So I got IME and PCC request for my inlaws from NDVO on July 16. I submitted the medical completion confirmation and PCC to NDVO via email and also IRCC Web Form on July 30. The last update on ecase was Medical results have been received. There is no update since then. I don't even know if they got the PCC or not. The email said fastest way to send the documents to NDVO is through myCIC upload but it did not work for me so I used email and IRCC Web From.

Is there anyone who submitted the documents in a similar manner and have heard back from NDVO?

My parents file was in Ottawa office and their IME and PCC request was the same date as my inlaws. Again, in their case I submitted all documents to Ottawa via email and they already received Passport Request. So wondering why is it taking so long for NDVO.

please read IRCC website who can apply
hi thanks for your reply once again.
I got confused reading through the words on CIC website, where it doesn't pose any 3 years limitation on main page of eligibility.

Sponsorship eligibility
In order to sponsor, you must…

  • be 18 years of age or older;
  • be a Canadian citizen, Registered Indian or permanent resident;
  • be sponsoring a member of the family Class;
  • live in Canada;
  • sign an undertaking promising to provide for the basic requirements of the person being sponsored;
  • sign an agreement with the person you are sponsoring that confirms that each of you understands your mutual obligations and responsibilities;
  • prove that you have sufficient income to provide the basic requirements for your family members in Canada as well as the persons included in your sponsorship undertaking. You may also have a co-signer
Also when asked for income requirements it states,

You must provide your Notice of Assessment from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) as proof that you meet the following minimum income requirements for taxation years 2017, 2016, and 2015.

On reading it appears, that 3 years NOA is required only to prove that we meet the minimum income requirements. Hence, curios if we can show equivalent income for preceding years by virtue of our foreign tax returns.

Regards,
Aditya

Maybe you can challenge the courts for it...who knows. Probably no one tried it so far and most likely no one has got their way on this forum but everyone is allowed to challenge any rules/laws they think is unfair.

On My CIC Account what do you see for Background Check line?

"Your background check is in process"
OR
"Your application is in progress."

One or the other means BC has started or not...

Received my parents passport today after visa stamping . Planning to land next week.

Who did Cardiologist test, what they check?

MyCIC Account status just says the following "We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you."

I believe ecas is more up to date compared to MyCIC. What is your visa office?

Hello Guys,

When we receive the medical request. Do we have to upload or send the medical results to CIC as well ?

Thanks,
