Hi may I know how long did it take after your papers have been passed to VMO when you received the pre arrival letter?

I got an email form CIC that they already sent my application to VMO last May 18,2018 and until now I still have no updates from them..

Hello! 2 months after the papers were submitted on the VMO, we received pre-arrival services but until now, we have no updates about passport request and it’s been 10 months since we passed the application

My husband’s timeline is the same for the medical and pre-arrival. But we dont have the letter yet requesting for his passport september applicant here

I didn’t receive any pre-arrival letter yet nor any updates since they sent my husband application to VMO..

Have they updated you guys that they already start a Background checking on your papers?

It took two 10 months for your application? I haven’t receive any updates yet until now from VMO . This is my timeline status

1. received application for permanent residence on March 7, 2018.
2. We started processing the application on May 23, 2018.
3. We sent medical instructions on April 24, 2018.
4. Medical results have been received.
5. We sent correspondence on May 7, 2018. If not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until receives the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

We already passed the needed documents right away, and a week after, may 18,2018 cic emailed me that they already passed our application to VMO and until now VMO hasn’t updated us about our status. Its coming 3 months now since VMO received our application

Congratulations!! but Wow 11 months? Is there any reason why it took that long? Some that i know took only 6 months or 8 months,,

I think after winning her appeal she got prearrival. (According to her older posting). It's the background that takes times for some people. Specially if they have a history of traveling. Working with government, army etc.. but for some other people it's very easy.

I recived by email Pre arival service letter last week. I am outside Canada. My husband is in Canada. Do you know how long does the process gone?

Is pre arrival a mandatory service to be attend by the applicant? I know Pre arrival and PDOS are different, pre arrival says on the email is just a reccomendation and as for PDOS someone told me that cic or manila vo will send an email for pdos thats already been booked for the applicant, is that right?
