Hi All,

Looking for advice on my scenario.

I am in Canada from July 2015, and received invite to sponsor my mother few weeks back.

My 2015 income is 1K less than the income required to be eligible, 2016 and 2017 incomes are okay.

My application submission deadline is 15th Oct, so when the application will be in progress (website says processing time 20-24 months ) I will have my 2018 assessment ready and it will be above the criteria, wondering if I should go ahead and send the application or I have to wait for 2019 lottery?
Does they refund the money if application does not meet all conditions?

Thanks
You are NOT eligible to sponsor. The rules are clear, and no exceptions will be made. I don't understand why people think they're special and can evade the rules. Thanks for being inconsiderate and stealing and wasting an eligible applicant's spot. You're not the first one to do this and certainly won't be the last. It's what is wrong with this incomplete lottery system.

If you linked the application, go to your on-line account. Under "Status" there will be a link "view submitted application". Click on it. You will get to to a page "Documents sumbitted by the client" and the links to upload the requested documents will be there"
There is no link in the “documents submitted by client”
Would you please advise where is the link ?

Does anyone have any experience with extended medical exams?
My father was diagnosed with cancer 15 years ago but his problem is now under control. Can that cause delay in the process? My mom is the applicant and my dad is the dependant. Can the potential problem with my dad health cause any problem for my mom’s application ?
Any information is appreciated.

Sorry to hear about your father's health, hope he's doing well. Unfortunately, yes, any problems with your father's health will affect your Mom's application as well. Reason being ... if it didn't, then your Mom, after becoming a PR of Canada, could sponsor your father under the spousal category.

Hi Guys,

I have received the invite to sponsor my mother and brother (19 years old) however three days after I received the invite my mother was diagnosed with stage 2 Cancer. The chemeo will be starting next week & will last 6 months and then the surgery will follow. After surgery they will start the radiotherapy session. My fear is if I invite now the medical will have to be submitted between Surgery and radiotherapy sessions. My question is Should I wait until Jan 2019 and apply again for lottery and If I get selected I should go ahead? Hopefully by then all her treatment would be finished and she should be fine for post cancer medication. Any advice and help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Hey sad to hear abt your mom's health - hope she will recover soon!!

Will recommend you to submit complete application as you have been lucky this time to win the lottery - and regarding your concerns abt your mom's health hopefully she will be alright by that time - and you never know when CIC will ask you to do medical and everything(sometimes CIC does can take upto more than 6 month to call medical) - would say pls don't wait for 2019... you should do it now as not many ppl lucky to have this opportunity and not this opportunity knock your door every year... stay blessed!! :)

Hoping for your mom's speedy recovery!!

How did you receive the request for the documents (e-mail or message in your account?)
I can see 5 links for 5 docs requested right under "Documents submitted by the client"

I got the email and replied to the email last week. But still in my account it is showing that Cic asked to Additional information and waiting for my response.
