As your husband is in the army, you can most likely expect non-standard processing times. Of course, it could also depend on where he has been posted in the past + his work profile.

That's because only your authorized representative i.e. your agent can link the applications

Thank you Bryanna for your assistance.Surely there must be some maximum period regarding processing times. Our passports are also held up rendering us incapable to go elsewhere.Wish they would mention on their website about non standard processing times being applicable to defense background applicants.

No, there is no maximum processing time.

All processing times published on the IRCC website are only estimates. Actual processing time will depend on each individual application.

Our passports are also held up rendering us incapable to go elsewhere.
You can email + send a IRCC web form to your local visa office to request them to return your passports. You must state that you are NOT withdrawing/cancelling your applications + you will return the passports whenever the visa office requests them.

Wish they would mention on their website about non standard processing times being applicable to defense background applicants.
Non-standard processing time can apply to absolutely any visa applicant, not necessarily to applicants from the defense services

Seems like its going to be a long wait so all plans shelved.
Bryanna...can you guide me as to how I can remove my representative and be able to link my paper application. It would make it easier for me to get updates.

If you signed the 'Use of representative' form i.e. IMM 5476 to appoint your representative, you will need to use this IMM 5476 form again to remove the appointment. You will complete Section C of this form

So glad the stressful wait is over for you. Congrats :)

You can travel anytime during the validity of the TRVs
