I've been reading through a lot of Express Entry posts recently, and I've noticed that many delays and refusals come down to avoidable mistakes rather than eligibility.

If you're about to submit your eAPR, here's a quick checklist:

✔️ Make sure your work experience dates match across your profile, reference letters, and personal history.

✔️ Double-check that your NOC matches your actual job duties—not just your job title.

✔️ If you have any name variations across documents, explain them in a short Letter of Explanation.

✔️ Ensure your police certificates meet IRCC's validity requirements.

✔️ Don't leave employment gaps unexplained if they create confusion.

✔️ Review every uploaded document to make sure it's the correct file (it happens more often than you'd think).

✔️ If a required document is delayed, include proof that you've requested it and explain the situation.

✔️ Make sure all addresses, travel history, and personal history are consistent.

✔️ Keep your Letters of Explanation concise and only use them where they actually add clarity.

✔️ Before you click "Submit," go through your application one last time as if you were the officer reviewing it for the first time.

Most people only realize small mistakes after they've submitted. Spending an extra hour reviewing your application can save weeks—or even months—of unnecessary stress.

Good luck to everyone waiting for an ITA or preparing their eAPR!
