In how may days does a person get the UCI no. for a paper-based application?

Hi Folks,

I applied for a work permit on a paper-based application. Can someone please advise me on how many days it takes for CIC to assign it a UCI no. and if they email you those details?

Thanks, pal. I'm unable to link my paper-based application at the moment (it says no application found). I believe it's going to take 1-2 more weeks for a update.

This is always very tricky and doesn't have a straightforward formula. Just keep trying using different options. Try using Family name, Given name, and Date of Birth option (enter everything exactly as you did in your paper application. IF you used block letters then do so as well). Under the Applicants personal info select the place of birth option (enter it exactly as you did in you paper application). Keep trying. You can try up to 5 time a day (24 hours)

You can link it yes. I linked my daughter's and got the UCI and application number on the online account.
