Hi All,

I already got my AOR and I was able to link the application in ECAS under my father's name but I put my email address on it , is it advisable to submit IMM5476 since I have access to his on line CIC account? I have the form already signed by me , my dad and my mom and I am
hesistant to submit in it on web form?

Advise anyone?

Thanks very much guys! :)
Yeah - this is exactly what you need to do because once you start filling the webform it will record all your parents details such as application number, name, DOB and (your email address) etc.. and also I believe that you had filled the Representative form as well where you indicated that you will conduct the business on behalf of your parents :)
Good Luck!!

Thanks, we have filled up the form last weekend and I am ready to send it in the web form today , I just need to check if I am doing the right thing :)

One more question, for the question name of office where the application was submitted, what office shall I put? Our application hasn't been transferred to a visa office, I believe I need to fill up the form correctly so they will communicate with me in the future?

Shall I put CIC/ CPC MIssissauga? I am not sure of what to put there to be honest :) can you advise ? :)

Thanks,

Update on linking to MyCIC account.

If you are having trouble linking your PGP 2018 applications to MyCIC account, here are some information that may help. Before even trying to link your application, make sure that you have filled out IMM5476 - Use of a Representative form. Otherwise, you will not be able to do.

1) If you choose "Application number and family name" option, last name is your principle applicant's last name (i.e your father or mother's last name).
CIC takes last name from the passport you provided (exactly as shown on your parents' passport). For my case, they took my mom "entire" name as her last name. So, please use last name exactly as appears on your principle applicant's passport. Otherwise, it will not work.
2) Numbers of family members turned out to be 3 for me (parents (2) + me (1)), and my wife and kid did not count.

MyCIC account now shows that they are processing my application. Yulia - you may want to update my record.

Cheers,

I sent the application package to Ottawa for my Parents sponsorship 2018 after receiving the invite in March( principal applicant is my father and dependent is my mother). The application was received at Ottawa on 25th May and i am waiting for AOR or any further communication from CIC. Meanwhile, my mom will be traveling to Canada in super visa and may stay for 6-8 months while father will be in India.

My question:
1. if my parents receive AOR and medicals when my mom is in Canada, how to proceed with the medicals? is it allowed to do medicals in India for my father ( primary applicant) and medicals for mother in Canada (dependent)?
2. What is general process for PGP PR : application ->AOR->medical, PCC and document -> passport request ->landing? is there any other in this process which I missed?
3. Also if the process for my parents complete before my mom return to India can she land as PR without primary applicant? I mean my father will travel from India and get landed first, and can my mother go through the bridge for landing after my father landing?

please help me understand as we could not avoid my mother travel to Canada while the father is in India for the next 8 months

Thanks in advance

Yes this is correct - CIC will communicate with you by email... I trust you have filled the Representative form for your parents application(which ultimately means that you will coordinate and provide requested documents on behalf of your parents) :)
Yes I did it.Thanks a lot for the reply

It won't take much longer to get your AOR, but some people on this forum are saying that they haven't received AORs yet although their applications were received by CIC earlier than yours. So, you just need to be a bit more patient on that end while IRCC does its job.

1) As for medical, I do not think IRCC cares which country carried out medical as long as the medical was done by IRCC approved doctors. That said, it's better to be sure than sorry. I'd call IRCC if I were you to be sure and ask the agent to send you a follow up email. Email is just for your record in case call centre agent gave you the wrong information.

2) As far as processing goes, AOR (acknowledgement)->SA (sponsorship approval). Then, IRCC process your parents which is why they ask for PCC, medical. Once that is passed, you are at the DM (decision made) stage where they l ask for passport for PR stamp. That's how I understand it.

3) Again, I'd ask IRCC for clarification when that happens. They used to send PR applicants to Buffalo, NY so they can officially "land" in Canada from a foreign state. But, it was cancelled due to the obvious ridiculousness of it. That being said, you will most likely NOT get DM (decision made) within 8 months. So, it's not worth it to worry about something that has not happened yet.

For now, wait for AOR patiently and play it by ears.

I hope that helps!
