Hey what about the travel when you change the country of residence? Did you include that.
I was based earlier in UAE and then moved to Canada, my lawyer did not include that move from UAE to Canada saying that it is for employment and it is not required to be declared, same for my spouse, who had moved after 4-5 months.

Noted- But then if you need to explain each and every stamp on your passport through travel history - One should include the first travel while changing country of residence and every travel outside of his country of residence thereafter including country of origin. Correct me if I am wrong?

I had indicated to the lawyer they said no need for it as I am moving on employment and not moving for Business, Training or Tourism... I had also included in the travel history about my trips to India as well from UAE they also did not include it as well.

Ok understood - One more question I have for you - lets say i visited Australia for 10 days - I traveled to 3 cities - do I need to have one entry for this travel ( With all 3 cities mentioned in Cities) or 3 entries for each and every city I visited?

Hi guys,

Although I have got some clarity, I am still very confused about the 'Address History' section, I want to be doubly sure about few things, please help me with clarity if you have had similar issues, experiences and the way forward;
  1. I have been living in Mumbai for last 5 years, and lived in Bangalore and Delhi for education (5 Years). However the permanent address on my passport ETC is of my parent's house ie Assam. Should I mention Mumbai as my current address?
  2. I am really worried that I have not lived in my permanent address in the last 10 years, is it going to be an issue? Should I get my PCC from Mumbai or Assam? I was planning to get it from Assam because I got my Passport from there.
  3. Please note I do not have an address proof in Mumbai because I have been staying with a friend for the last 2-3 years. Is that going to be an issue again?
  4. Does PCC mention the addresses you have lived within a country?
What is the best way to go about this?

From what I have read so far, I am thinking I will be mentioning all the cities and add a LOE explaining the same?

Kind of stressed because of this, please advice :(:(

Thanks in advance.

-Yes
-Dont worry IRCC is not expecting you to reside in one place for 10 yrs :D... You can visit a PSK in Mumbai as well and check how soon can they issue a PCC...

List of docs required:

Proof of Residential Address(you can provide any of these):

Thank you so much for such a detailed answer.

I am heading Assam this week for my Bank statement, Medical so I was planning to get my PCC from there as well.

Will you advice I put my permanent address (Assam) and the current address from July to Present? And show 'Unemployed' from July? I am putting my papers at the current organization next week and I can request the HR to show my employment till July for the reference letter? (hoping they aould agree)

I do not want to apply for the PCC from Mumbai as that would delay it by couple of weeks at least. What do you advice?

-Fine
-Permanent Address of Assam is fine in general. Technically you will be leaving the job end of Aug so you'd be unemployed in Aug not July. For your current address as you mentioned you were living in Mumbai since the last 5 yrs, I would suggest you include that since the time you were residing.
-Since you are traveling to Assam, go ahead and get it done from Assam.

In general, you don't need to complicate your life to get the PR form right... just prepare the documents and keep things simple rather than get
