+1(514) 937-9445 or Toll-free (Canada & US) +1 (888) 947-9445
I called +1 (613) 944-4000 and followed the instructions (pressed 1 repeatedly) but after I get transferred to CIC I get a message saying that the toll-free number is not available in my area. As I understand it, you're not meant to be able to call IRCC unless you're in Canada, but calling +1 (613) 944-4000 is a loophole. Apparently, it doesn't work if you're calling from the US. I'd be more than happy to be wrong and if there were a way to call.
Oh! Not an expert on this but possible to use Hangout or Skype to make the call?

Found a thread discussing similar issue: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-i...rd/threads/contacting-cic-from-the-us.473250/

Another week ending.
From 23rd July until now, myimmitracker shows 51 PPRs. 8 from April AoR. Lowest time 37 days, highest a staggering 477 days.
30 Cases of moving to IP2. 15 are April AoR.
Let's hope next week is our week. If not, then there is the next one after that. Hahaha.

This doesn't make any sense! The randomness is crazy. How does CIC actually process applications? Like they wake up in the morning and say "Oh lets just take April 30 files" while 6th April, 15th April, and 24th April have not moved. Whereas they just finished processing April 4th, 11th and even 29th. What is the sense behind this?

They can even put the blame on CSIS or Interpol not returning security checks in time but I really doubt it. Does it mean that CSIS and Interpol database need quite some time to process an early existing record.....No way! For example, it took FBI less than 10 mins to provide a security check result. Does it mean they are now busier than FBI? Maybe busy in the Canadian sense!

Even this assertion of lots of travel history is bullshit. Why then does Air Canada exist or intercontinental businesses? I have been trying to understand what is going on!

It pains so much that an applicant who got an ITA say on the 1st of April will take leave from work to gather documents and submit his/her application on 15th April. After submission will have to wait for at least 100 days+ to hear from CIC. Whereas, another applicant who got ITA maybe same day (1st April) or even later (1 May) reluctantly applies in June will get PR before the April AOR. When this is brought up, the crazy diplomatic "It takes 6 months to process a file and so you don't have to worry" or "Every applicants file/case is different" springs up. What then is the benefit of applying early? So what it means is that the 15th April AOR file is bad or not easy to process and needs 100 days to make their file good enough for PR while the June AOR applicant has an immaculate file.

The worst of the situation is that CIC complains of too much PR applications. However, they are busy issuing 3750 ITA's every forth night. Are they just collecting the money? Don't get me wrong, I am not against issuing ITA's. All I dread is the imbalance between ITA and processing already submitted applications. Even at that, it might still take CIC 4 months to refuse an application.....what the hell!!.

Of course, there are no perfect system. But on daily basis, CIC is just epitomizing a system that is far from being a representative of a developed nation like Canada. It truly sucks when I think of this. Well, to them, we need them and all we can do is just to wait for them whenever they are ready.

Wishing you a speedy IP2 :)

Ottawa is more reliable......I think am Montreal according to the call center agent. Although that differs from what another agent said that my file is still at CIO Sydney. Tough life to live!!!

Did you order GCMS notes? I think it's worth it.

FSW-O-AoR April 10th, still stuck in IP1 :(
i called yesterday and they told me:
eligibility : in progress
criminality: not started yet
BGC: recommended passed
your case is completely opposite to others... usually Eligibility and Criminality is done first and then comes BGC

Yes I did......Still need 3 weeks to get it. What did your GCMS notes say about your status?

Eligibility recommended pass, background check and criminality not started. I ordered the notes on june 8th and received them on july 12th. Up to 10 days ago my status hadn't changed, I called IRCC and they repeated what the notes said.

I think if you order another set of GCMS notes now, I think your eligibility would now be Passed.

Wow....the CIC agent said that your eligibility was recommended passed? Meaning they could actually see things beyond the online status we see? If so, then am pretty concerned because 2 months after AOR, the agent told me that he could not see any note by the case analyst nor the visa officer with regards to my eligibility. Neither recommended passed nor additional review required. Nothing!!!!

All he could speculate was that my file is in Montreal which he wasn't sure as when I told him that it contradicted what his colleague said (that my file is still in Sydney), he started stammering and his tune changed.

Am just greatly concerned. God have mercy!!!
