Hi Everyone. Received an ITA last June 13. In the process of completing the questionnaire but already did upfront medical and sent our police certificate application back to our country. I'm so glad it's still 90 days for us to complete everything. Will be hanging out in this thread for a while. :) thanks for setting this up! We can do this. :)

Hey guys quick question.

This is regarding about my sister's POF.

If our dad gives her money for POF, would it be advisable for him to request a bank statement as well showing that it actually came from his account? Or just a copy of the cheque that he wrote.

What she'll submit are the ff:
Her own bank statement, showing the money was deposited.
Gift deed - notarized
LOE
And a copy of the cheque.

Any comments will be appreciated.

Your dad's bank statement would be much better instead of the copy of the cheque

Hi,
When I am logging into CIC website, I am not able to see optional document segment. I remember it was there previously but now it is not coming.

Is anyone facing the same issue?

Keep refreshing the page once you are on that page. Its a bug - After multiple refreshes it should come back.

are you currently in canada

am done with collecting docs. not waiting for aug 1 so i can complete my 1 year n then submit :)

Are you in Canada too? :) Done with collecting docs and submitted eAPR. Hope you were able to submit yours too. The next few weeks/months are going to be tough. lol. I can't help checking my account everyday.

I received ITA on June 13th 2018.
Submitted all the documents on Aug 31, 2018 and received confirmation email also.
It showed processing time as 6 months (Feb 28, 2019) to get PPR (passport request).
On Feb 27th 2019, status changed to processing taking longer than usual.

Did anybody face something similar?

If yes, then after how many days after 6 months did they get PPR?

On a separate note, did somebody received PPR before 6 months itself.

Same as yours, still waiting. The duration is subjective. Some factors to consider:
  1. I have seen messages of people taking almost a year. So your worst option is august 2019.
  2. I have seen people getting within 3 months but these are mostly applicants within canada
  3. younger than 30.
  4. country quota (based on your current passport not country of residence)
  5. number of countries you lived in (police clearance)
  6. and of course, clarity of your documents.
  7. number of (family) members applying
  8. may be to some extent... preferred NOCs

Most of your assumptions are incorrect

I think they are logical and reasonable. But I let you be the knowledgeable one to write more than a sentence.

Received the PPR in less than 3 months.
I'm more then 30 years old, my country is not in the any quota (at least not written anywhere...).
For sure police report and clarity of documents interfere in the process.
And yes it can take 12 months. Although if you have not called them I suggest you do, but don't call them everytime... not more than once a month.
