I included only what they asked for as per the checklist and application forms, and nothing else. I'm not trying to piss them off. If they want additional documentation, they can easily ask for it on the online portal.
Hi, i'm seeking information about work permit in Canada to start my own business.Need LMIA exception code.I'm starting this thread for those who are considering sending in an application under self-employed category in 2018. @BaNana82 has been extremely helpful so far sharing his own process and timelines. I'm currently collating my documents and have the IELTS on Jan 20.
Once I receive the results, I will be sending my application in. I'm applying under 5121 - authors and writers. Though the current processing time on CIC website says 48 months, I've met several people who received responses within a year or less so don't let the time discourage you as it did me the first time I considered this in 2015.

How can you get your application on the same day of submission, its a common sense to think about, i'm not very quick to judge, i guess your question was very early. As per my experience it should take few days to issue the file number, first you should receive an acknowledgement email from immigration.
I didn't ask whether if I will receive the reply on the same day or even a week after my documents have been received. I have a previous experience of submitting documents to HO of UK and their response time to acknowledgement is 2-3 days.
It usually takes 90 working days to get AOR but that is an approximation. It could be sooner too. After that it’s anyones guess for time to MR and more. Good luck.
