I haven't posted in a while, but boy do I have a story to tell you all.

On June 8th I actually received a declined letter saying that the proof of employment for one of my jobs was not enough and thus I am denied a PR. June 8th was also a particular day because it was the day my medical exam turned one year old, in fact, at first I thought for sure the message I received was about me having to re-do the exam.

It wasn't, I was told no go, I was so fed up with the process that I decided to stop looking for answers and just move on. I focused on the world cup and work and that was it.

Yesterday I get a call from a # in Quebec and I did not make much of it, I pick up and it turns up is CiC, they inform me that a mistake was made on their part and that my case was reopened and approved!! I was completely taken aback, I had stop all planning, research, hell even interest and now this!

Anyways, I just wanted y'all to know about it since I have never heard of something like this happen before.
WTF dude...
World Cup watching paid off :D

Makes me wonder if all rejected applications go through a second review so that mistakes are caught. Gives me hope.
yes hopefully they do

but on the other hand mine was rejected twice (eye roll) so re-applied for the 3rd time in November and still waiting...

As far as I can see there isn't anything in the notes to suggest there is any reason for delays, they seem to be ticking everything off and not raising any issues. Its been around 100 days now which I think is pretty close to the average for Ottawa, lets hope there isn't any delay.

Also FYI I've put a short timeline based on the GCMS notes I got, the last update field on the file says 05/04/18 but the last date I can see is the notes added on the 9th of March.

12-Feb
AOR

20-Feb - CIO:
reviews CRS Score, language score verified, ECA report verified, two police certificates reviewed, recommendation of pass Criminality. Note here say I attached my work permit to passport documents
Activities also show medicals were passed on this day

22-Feb - CIO:
Agent Review, Police Certificates R10 OK, Criminality Decision Passed

07-Mar - CPC-Ottawa:
PReVU verified

09-Mar - CPC-Ottawa:
Case Analyst Recommend Pass, lots of information here but summary is...
FSW points calculated and Appears Met "Ready To Finalize RPRF: Complete"
Confirmation of my current work permit
Confirmation of employment to NOC
Settlement funds appears to be met, note about explanation of large banking transactions from my client info (letter of explanation)
I am also Feb 12th but still waiting for ppr?

I wish I knew the answer to this, I had so many questions during the call one been exactly what you are wondering. The officer was extremely polite and apologetic about the situation and basically said I was approved.

Guys, I finally moved to IP2 last night. I hope the golden mail will come soon.

AOR Feb 26th
MEP/IP1 Mar 6th
IP2 Jul 4th
Hi,

I moved to IP2 last week as well. Not sure about the date since I wasn't checking the online status. No email notification from CIC though. IP1 to IP2 took almost 4.5 months!

Let's hope the PPR mail comes soon. I might have to get the medicals done again since they are valid only till the end of the week!

Best of luck.
