So sorry to hear that :( Hope you guys see the light at the end of the tunnel soon...Also, if it turns out to be like looking for a needle in a haystack, it might be best to contact customer service through the contact us form, providing them with the correct ID to write in to with the verification mail, together with the URL of the website page of the issuing institution where such ID is provided. Keep the faith!
Thanks Nishika. We finally traced the email. We went to the university in person and checked on the status. University had replied to WES and now our status is "in progress" from "on hold" :), but with no target completion date as such. We are glad at least there is some progress now.

These days they are reluctant to publish any target dates
So don't expect it.

So happy to hear that! Hope you get the ECA report soon :) My husband's ECA report came within less than 5 working days of the status update - so there's hope yet...

Your institute will get both email and snail mail from WES. It is easier to reply on the email as the verification process is much faster and easier to track. You should get in touch with the department at FMS/DU from where you had got the transcripts in the first place and ask them if they received any email from WES. For few of us, WES sent the email to the first visible/available email ID on the institute website (e.g. in my case, it was institute director ID). You can find that out from FMS/DU website and enquire with them if they received any email.
Once you can track it, ask them to reply to the WES email ID which will be mentioned in their email body, explicitly mentioning the 10-digit verification reference no. provided by WES and mentioning that they are authenticating the attached transcripts as genuine.

Will request others, especially newer members on the forum, to not misguide without knowing the required information.
Hi @Mkface03, sorry to hear you are facing an issue with getting your FMS degree verified. As @samikdg suggests, you would need to get in touch with the North Campus DU transcripts team if they were the ones who provided the sealed transcript. I am assuming that you did your MBA from FMS, North Campus? I contacted them over mail at one point in time, and the ID is dutranscripts@gmail.com. I believe they would be the right people to verify the transcripts, since I never liaised with anyone from FMS directly - all their administrative processes are carried out by the DU Transcripts team for FMS, just like any other college of Delhi University. Let me know if this works for you! It's a shame the verification leg has to be undergone for all MBA candidates, but there's light at the end of the tunnel...Cheers and best of luck!

1) Your institute needs to verify the authenticity of the document that WES has received. You dont need to send transcripts again - That wont solve the issue

2) You need to figure out on which email id/ postal address they have send the verification email or documents. The email/postal documents has a unique reference number ( the number is different from the one you have) and the institute needs to reply to WES in a proper format quoting that unique reference number and certifying the authenticity of transcripts. Once that is done you will get out of Hold

To summarize - find out whether your institute has got that communication from WES and then follow as per point 2. If your institute has not received the communication from WES then request WES to send the same to the right person (email id) through contact us page on WES.
Hi @ashu_h_89 , as suggested by @Jaywalker, you would need to get the documents that have already been sent, verified by Pune University. Sending the same documents, even if there is mention of a verification being conducted, would not serve the purpose. While it is logical to assume that the verification of the documents, done proactively, should suffice just as well as a direct response to the WES verification email or snail mail by the concerned University authority, such is unfortunately not the case. NOTE: The 10-digit verification ID MUST be quoted, exactly as received by the University in the verification request sent out by WES. Also, they must word the response to clearly indicate that verification is being done against the request sent by WES, and that the documents provided by WES are in order to proceed with the evaluation of the concerned candidate. WES is indeed quite draconian on that point :( Hope you find these tips useful, and are able to get your status out of 'on hold' to 'in progress' soon :)

Hi @samikdg
Thank you so much for the detailed reply. I can't express my gratitude enough.
I could finally succeed in getting a confirmation yesterday from DU that they have indeed received the email. Post mail isn't still received yet. They have asked me to come today to discuss the next steps.

I have seen multiple posts in this forum which mention that their their verification process was put on hold even after receiving an email from college due to "insufficient information". I am assuming that the a reply containing the below should be "sufficient information"?
1. WES Reference Number
2. The 10 digit Email Reference number that university received
3. The 7 digit Email Reference number that I received
4. A one-line confirmation like "This verification is being done against the request sent by WES. The documents provided by WES are in order to proceed with the evaluation of the concerned candidate"

However could you please correct me if I am wrong, or giving more information than required?

Thanks,
Manish

Hi @Nishika22
Yes, I did 2 year full time from FMS, North Campus:)
They have confirmed that they received my verification request, but have asked me to come today. Looks like they need some inputs on what is to be typed in the reply, before sending it. I am not sure yet, if they have received the mail on dutranscripts@gmail.com, as I they must have an email id on DU domain and not gmail. However I'll find out today and share how did it go.

You are so right thta it is really frustrating that all MBAs have to be treated that way. Let's see how it goes today.
Will get back shortly.

Glad that my post was of some help! I believe you're providing too much information which may confuse WES evaluators further. As far as I know, the only things required in the email body are the 10-digit Verification reference number sent by WES to your institute only (and not to you) and the one-line confirmation as you mentioned. In the confirmation, you can modify "This verification is being done against the request sent by WES. The documents provided by WES are genuine issued by Delhi University and are in order to proceed with the evaluation of the concerned candidate"

@Jaywalker or @Nishika22 may be able to provide more insight.

Thanks @samikdg! Yes, you’re right, there is too much information suggested for inclusion. @Mkface03: The following is the format in which my husband’s institution responded to the WES verification request, with only the 10 digit reference number quoted. Please note that the 7 digit reference number should not be quoted as it is for the candidate to use for their identification, and is not relevant for the issuing institution. Here goes, hope it helps :)

Subject: Verification Request - Reference # XXXXXXXXXXX

Dear Director of Evaluations,

We appreciate the additional verification process introduced to ensure that candidates only submit authorised documents.

In this case, we are pleased to confirm the authenticity of the documents provided to us as an attachment - both the transcript as well as the degree.

Kindly proceed with the evaluation of the concerned candidate (C, AB) based on our confirmation for Reference # XXXXXXXXX.

I am appending the email received by IM (‘REQUEST FOR DOCUMENT VERIFICATION’) as a final step to facilitate the recording and processing of our confirmation against said candidate.

Hi @Nishika22 and @samikdg!
Thanks for spoon feeding. It tasted yumm!

In your template, I am little unclear on what needs to be attached: "I am appending the email received by IM (‘REQUEST FOR DOCUMENT VERIFICATION’)"
Are you suggesting that the verification email sent itself needs to be downloaded first to Desktop, and then attached in the reply?

Regards,
Manish

You’re welcome Manish. The response needs to be sent by the issuing institution in reply to the verification mail received by them. So, it would be good if the VDR email received by them is appended, following the said statement (which I had customized to my husband’s institution, so you would need to replace with FMS):
"I am appending the email received by FMS (‘REQUEST FOR DOCUMENT VERIFICATION’)"
Also, please ensure that the response is sent to the correct ID for verification purposes by your issuing institution. WES has a nasty habit of sending emails from an auto sender ID and expecting responses to be sent to unique IDs that are extremely tough to fathom from their request for verification. Hope the process has improved since they experimented on us, the first few unlucky ones ;) Cheers!

Hi @Nishika22 , So wouldn't simply replying to the WES' email suffice?
You seem to suggest that a fresh email needs to be sent to WES instead?

Also, could I request if could you please check your inbox?

Hi
@Nishika22

So I am currently standing in Delhi University Dean’s office. Just for some background, while submitting my transcript for WES last month, I had obtained 5 extra copies, just in case for future use. Each of these 5 envelopes contain a transcript, and the envelopes are duly stamped and sealed by DU.

I can see that the WES verification email was sent to REGISTRAR DU, who was kind enough to show me the detailed email that they have received for verification of my degree and marksheet. The WES email id on which reply is to be given, and the 10 digit reference id is clearly mentioned. As told by others, this 10 digit reference id is different than what I have. also having additional copies of transcripts which I issued

I wanted to attach a snippet but not sure how to do it. If you'd like to see, can you please advise how to attach a file

They have said that the degree and marksheet need to be verified by separate departments, and therefore one combined email cannot be sent. They have given a few options, and none of them seem satisfactory to me. Can you please suggest

Option 1
  1. Send one of the 5 sealed transcript envelopes that I issued last month from Delhi University post office through speed post. Only write the 10 digit reference number on it. Nothing else.

Option 2
  1. Create a Demand Draft of $100 each, for both Degree and Marksheet Department.
  2. Degree Department will email them the confirmation separately.
  3. Marksheet Department will email them the confirmation separately.
Obviously, both the departments will follow their own template, though they assure that they will include the 10 digit reference number.

And obviously the email ids from which the confirmation will be sent will be different than the one on which the request was received

Any advice on which option is less risky? Both don’t appear satisfactory to me.

Thanks,
Manish

Hmmm, Option 1 will certainly not work. WES is quite clear it won’t accept another sealed transcript. ONLY a verification will be accepted.
Re Option 2, not only do the charges appear excessive but also there is no guarantee that 2 separate responses will be taken as a satisfactory verification by WES. Can’t the registrar receive the 2 department responses, and combine them in his reply to WES - a consolidated one?
