according to everyone's prediction... is 438 score a possibilty to be reached ? if yes.. wont the tie-breaker rule be such that 2017 candidates are picked frst ?

So it is a difference of 7 points...
- Master's degree (W Spouse) - 126
- Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees (W Spouse) - 119 (One must be for a program of three or more years)

So whats your total score if you do either option with her being primary ?
Currently she has CLB10 in 3 sections of IELTS, but only CLB8 in Listening (7.5), missed CLB9 by a whisker. So, she will be retaking IELTS at the end of July. Assuming she can get CLB9 in Listening and can again get CLB10 in the other 3 sections, ECA with Masters will give us a CRS of 441 and with "Two or more certificates..." will give 434. So, you can understand it will be really a Make-or-Break situation. :)

Sam for Q1 it would be evaluated as PG which will come under 2 or more column(same like my wife MA economics; honestly should have give for IQAS for masters) I haven't gone coz doesn't make much difference m even not sure whether IQAS will evaluate as masters or not?
Thanks for your reply mate! For us, it will make all the difference between ITA or No ITA as you can see from my comment above :)
Do you know anyone who has got Masters equivalence from IQAS for similar BA+MA degrees. I thought about IQAS, but was reading that they are taking 12 weeks+ these days. Since our original plan was to have her as accompanying spouse and the difference in points there is just 1, we decided to go with WES.
PS: Do you mind sharing which university your wife did her BA and MA from? I've seen people get Masters equivalence recently for 3-year BA/BCom and 2-year MBA/PGDM from India. But I'm not sure if there's any pattern in this.

@samikdg I'll answer this in points:

1. I am not sure if you can challenge them for the equivalency (I mean you can challenge them, but not sure about the outcome of such reviews), but you can definitely take your degrees to IQAS and hope for a different outcome (research first on these forums, am sure there's an answer lurking out there).

2. Not sure if there's any NOC that's into Knowledge/Content Management (My primary NOC is 5121 and secondary is 5122. However, my experience matches the responsibilities given there perfectly). It would be great if you could DM me her job responsibilities, i'll help you accordingly.

3. The money bit you can execute an affidavit stating that the money in your account can be used by your wife, no need for gift deed.

Hi Mate,
Thanks a lot for you reply and offer to help. I've given my replies and also DM you for point 2.
1. Do you know if there's any official review system at WES to challenge like for IELTS, or it has to be done through Contact Us form + Call only. For IQAS, do you know if they asses equivalency differently than WES, I'm just trying to avoid the situation where I submit it to IQAS and they return the same PG Diploma equivalence after 12 weeks! Will definitely search more on this forum, Quora etc
2. I'll send you her job responsibilities on DM for 5122. I searched the NOC structure thoroughly, couldn't find anything on KM/Content management.
3. Others have also suggested that I can make the bank account joint with her. Also, when you mention an affidavit, is it something to be done in court, or can I write a statement myself and get it notarized?

Thanks again,

1. no idea
3. Yup, you can do either; problem with making a joint account is that your funds will be 'fresh' and you won't have a history to show. Write a statement on stamp paper and get it notarised.

Great, I'll do both then. Will get the account joint and then create the notarized affidavit.

either, not both. Both does not make any sense, and like I said, better get a notarised affidavit. It's much simpler and straightforward. Your wife's funds remain untouched in that same account and you can easily show that it's been accumulating for more than six months.

CLB10 that too in writing....reminded me of an Alshay Kunar dialogue.... Abey bacche ke jaan loge kya :D.
Yeah it is a situation indeed. Btw what happened with your own WES evaluation ?

I miss the analysis of IRCC data and the prediction of possible draw score that use to happen on this thread.
I guess everyone is busy trying to improve their score, there is no point in speculating about things which are out of our control. However, before the next draw there will be some predictions.

Haha, that is an apt dialogue :D
She's pretty good in English, so can keep my faith for Reading, Writing, Speaking ;) But Listening is more of a concentration test than English skill :O
My WES had gone on On Hold, brought it to In Process after lot of fight, due on 18th July and expected Masters. I have CLB10, so no scope for improvement (other than learning French) :P

Oh ok! I have a further query which I'll DM you without hogging the ROH thread any more :)

1st draw of Aug will be without any IELTS result that will bring down scores for sure..may be 436/437 and Aug 2nd(IELTS Test date) is Thursday i.e. an awkward dat and just after 4 days of last IELTS test(28th July) so not much competition ...Aug will see 437 for sure
i really hope you are right! i need this to be right
