NOC Code......

As the cut-off does not seem to have any chance of coming down to low 430s this year, we are thinking of making my spouse the primary applicant as she gives an advantage of 10 points because of age. However, there are some issues we need to iron out and advice/help from forum members will be much appreciated. It's a long post but I know there are enough good Samaritans here from my experience of last few months. :)

1. She has done BA (3 years) and MA (2 years) in Economics from India. Her ECA is currently under process with WES but the degree equivalency tool shows she will get only a Postgraduate Diploma for her MA. Anyone here who has received a Masters equivalency from WES with similar background recently? Also, anyone knows if I can challenge WES if they provide PG diploma to change it to Masters and what is the process/time taken to do that? I know she can get "Two or more degrees..." with PG Diploma but the difference in points is 7, which is significant in our case.
2. She has got overall 3.2 years of experience in last 10 years, but scattered across 4 companies and several years. She has 1 year 8 months of experience in one company out of this, hope that will at least make her eligible to apply. Her experiences are in Knowledge/Content Management and editing of reports. However the only relevant NOC code which we could find is 5122 (Editors). Is this NOC code eligible under Skill Level A or B required for EE-FSW stream? Alternatively, can anyone suggest if there are any relevant NOC codes for Knowledge/Content Management?
3. Since she's currently not working, doesn't have a steady source of income and bank balance is much less than required PoF. Will I as husband be able to transfer required amount to her bank account and what is the process (Gift deed/any other) for this. Also, this amount is really the one I've built up for myself as primary applicant. If I transfer it to her account and somehow her application gets rejected after getting ITA, will we be able to again transfer it back to my account and use it for my primary applicant purpose.
I only know the answer to your third question, so others please assist with 1. and 2. if you're able to.

3. If you are applying together, it's fine that the bank account is in your name, as long as you can show that you both have access to the funds.

Hi guys,
Need your help for understanding when to get the medicals done:

1)can upfront medicals be done for primary and dependants. We have not received the ITA yet but hopefully should get the same soon (through Ontario nomination).
OR
2)if we don’t get the medicals upfront, and receive ITA, can we submit our application without the medicals and do them later as the reports are sent directly by the physician??? Is that an option...

Thanks

1) Medicals can be done upfront for you and your dependents. If you are not sure of when you will receive an ITA or nomination (if you don't have a high CRS score) it is advised to wait till you receive you ITA or nomination, because a year from the date the medicals are done, is the last day you can land in Canada when you receive PPR.

2) You cannot submit your application for permanent residency without the medicals. Your application will be refused.

Thanks for replying, and it's a pity Denmark had to go out in a penalty shootout yesterday :( Also I see that you've submitted your application pretty soon after getting the ITA in June :)
When you say both should have access to the funds, does that mean it has to be a Join Bank account? The account where we have the funds available is my salary account and hence, not jointly held with her. Should I just provide an LoE explaining her access to the fund or should I try and make her a joint holder on that account?

Let me chip in like @Ronja5200 for the highlighted portion in red.

NOC - 5122 is a Skill level A

I am adding @zagcollins to share some of his input on the relevant doc for Knowledge/Content Management?... Bro guide Sam with inputs w.r.t to Point# 1 and Point# 2

Yes, that stung!! So close. But the furthest we've gotten in 18 years, so that's good :)

I think you should attempt to make the account joined or add a notorized declaration that you both have access to the funds and can use them freely. Then you'll be covered.

Look here:

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/proof-funds.html

"If your spouse is coming with you, you can count money you have together in a joint account. You may be able to count money in an account under their name only, but you must prove you have access to the money.

If you are invited to apply, you must give written proof that you have this money."

Hey Ronja, if you are in Electrical Engineering profession, you should look at the applying @Siemens in Canada

Thanks much! That solves 1 of the 3 problems. I should be able to make the account joint and also add a notarized declaration (since I'll still be the primary holder of the account).
And if I'm being honest, Croatia deserved to go through based on the game :p

I have to say I agree even though I'm not too keen on admitting it :p Good luck with your last two questions, hope you find answers :)

@samikdg I'll answer this in points:

1. I am not sure if you can challenge them for the equivalency (I mean you can challenge them, but not sure about the outcome of such reviews), but you can definitely take your degrees to IQAS and hope for a different outcome (research first on these forums, am sure there's an answer lurking out there).

2. Not sure if there's any NOC that's into Knowledge/Content Management (My primary NOC is 5121 and secondary is 5122. However, my experience matches the responsibilities given there perfectly). It would be great if you could DM me her job responsibilities, i'll help you accordingly.

3. The money bit you can execute an affidavit stating that the money in your account can be used by your wife, no need for gift deed.
