I took the oath yesterday June 29th, officially became a Canadian citizen.
I received the invitation letter on May 03 (sorry for not updating my status).
The letter stated that the ceremony at 1030 am, but it started at 1100, lasted for less than an hour. The place was full of joy and happiness.

I would like to thank every member here for the great support I received since the first day for me here 7 years ago. Its honestly one of the most helpful forums ever. And for people who are still waiting or who have not applied yet, please be patient and I strongly recommend not to compare yourself with anyone because God only knows how things move on at IRCC facilities.

Thank you again, wish you all the best with your applications and in your life. Happy Canada Day.

Congrats! I also came here almost 7 years ago, and took oath on the same day as you! They didn't check my CoPR or passport, only the PR card which they took. Also a few forms that I had to sign. They were pretty strict on little kids making noises - that's not allowed and will be escorted out of the ceremony. This is in Ottawa.

Also there are some info at the BACK of the certificate (UCI, sex, Date of Birth), so make sure they are correct!

Hey guys, wondering where you got the file number/ group number for the Prohibitions under the citizenship act?

Hi Guys,
Finally some good news on my file - I received my test invite today - Happy Canada Day. Actually the letter is dated June 27th - I checked my mail today. The test date is 25th July in Mississauga. This is a physical letter received for those who are interested. I also checked my status on ECAS it still says in process but has the test invite line added to the timeline. Please check out my timeline in the signature. Admin please update the status - finally a change after 6 months from IP status. Hope all get to see some movement. :):)

Hello All,

I had my test back in Mar 22nd at Scarborough. I was told everything was good passed my test and my status on ecas changed to Decision Made in few days the office that took my interview said I should get my oath letter and gave the maximum time until Nov 2018 for oath but said it shouldn't take that long.

I still am waiting for my oath letter been almost 4 months since I did my test. I applied fro GCMS notes but am having a hard time deciphering it.

Anyone here who can help me with it ??

I would say that that timeline sounds about right and you should give the call center a call...but I currently have a gag order on this forum from giving this sort of advice. :D
