Hi everyone, I was just wondering if i can sponsor my mother and brother’s family. My dad passed away. My mother lives with my brother. so they are 7 members now. Is it possible to sponsor them all together? If yes then which category will they be in? Parents and grandparents or family/ relative sponsorship? Thanks.

No, it is generally not possible to sponsor a sibling. You would only be able to sponsor your mother.

Agreed with the above comment. You can only sponsor your mother. Your brother and his family will have to qualify and apply independently through an economic immigration stream like Express Entry.

But, one of my friend she sponsored her parents and two single sisters? how is that possible? and they were not refugees either?

The sisters were likely under 18 and not married. Your brother is too old to be a dependent, and furthermore he is married

100% possible. Just not in your case.

Your brother could have been included in your mother's application as a dependent if he was under 22 and unmarried. Since he's married, that's no longer an option.

Again, he will have to qualify independently through one of the economic immigration streams. You cannot sponsor him. Your mother, once she's here, won't be able to sponsor him either. This is something he will have to do on his own.
