Hi everyone,
I sent my sponsorship application for my parents on May 15th (already tracked package through Canada Post that it was delivered the next day). I haven't received any emails from IRCC regarding the application and couldn't find a way to track it online. Tried calling the call centre number but couldn't get to any agent. Any tips on how to track down the application? is it normal that I haven't received any confirmation through email regarding receiving or processing of the application yet?
Any insights would be helpful. thanks in advance

Yes I have linked it
I guess have to go there on weekly basis
I was hoping that he would get an email
When I linked his application, my Father did receive a notification confirming that his application has been linked; so I am assuming that in future also your father will get notification for updates in his MyCIC, perhaps a weekly check on MyCIC will help you.

Waiting is hard thing to do, specially when its for your parents. At this moment IRCC is taking about 2 months to provide an Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR). For tracking your application, you can keep checking the online status by putting your UCI and other details in below ECAS website, but at this moment you might not see any updates for your application

How about Medical, you can get this done from any country you are visiting , provided they have approved doctors from IRCC

I don't think you have to send a any cancellation form. All you have to do is fill and send a Use of a Representative form (IMM 5476), if you haven't hired any lawyer or consultant, you should put yourself as a representative.

Also, send them an explanation letter and mention that right from the beginning you didn't hire any lawyer and consultant, you are interested in being a representative for your parents.

Do not forget to add the copy of IRCC letter you received.

That should help! Good luck.

Thanks - I just check I already sent that form. I checked Family / Unpaid representative previously and filled my name
May be IRCC lost that

Hello,
My application was received in Ottawa on May 2nd, but haven't received AOR yet.
Can anyone tell me how to use e-case in this stage. How can I obtain my UCI ID? There is an ID in the email I revived from CIC, but it's not working in e-case and the format is not matched with UCI ID. Sorry, I was not able to find the instruction from the old posts in Forum.
Thanks.

my status is DM though I haven't received any SA, anyone in same boat?
Dont worry My status was Dm from 31st May and i got letter on 26th June.Everything will be alright brother.

Thanks For your reply. Please tell me how to obtain my UCI ID or Application ID. as I haven't received AOR yet.

If you are a Canadian citizen, your UCI number should be on the back of your Citizenship Certificate.

If you are a PR, the UCI number should be on your PR card. It is mentioned as ID No/ on the PR card.

This UCI number is in two formats:

  • four numbers, a hyphen and four more numbers (Example: 0000-0000) or
  • two numbers, a hyphen, four numbers, a hyphen and four more numbers (Example: 00-0000-0000)

Good catch @zheka
If that's the case, I will recommend @badar14 to mention about putting his address in IMM0008enu, he can mention that his understanding was that he can put his address.

Thanks
Wondering why I should put my address on IMM 0008. As told on other post i double check I sent IMM 5476 already and put my self as family / unpaid representative.

Quite boggy by IRCC

Thanks for replies folks
