My background: US Graduate with bachelor's degree in computer science is looking for a certification program in Canada to extend knowledge on a specific set of skills (web design). 3 years working experience in the US and now a self-employed real estate investor that rents properties.
Questions:
1) Is SOP required? Is that why my application was rejected? I am currently in the process of applying again and have included my SOP. My goal is to get a certification program in web design because my previous employment and degree did not cover this skill set extensively. In addition, I want to start a company in my home country using the skills I have learned from the certificate program in Canada.
2) What other supporting documents should I submit? I have property taxes from properties that my family business rents out. Would that be a good supporting document?
3) What other tips can you give me before I apply again?
4) I have a little over 2 months before I have to be in Canada. Do I have sufficient time to reapply?
I would appreciate any help I can get.
Edward
