Hi guys , does anyone know what happens after the interviuw request? I apply to sponsor my husband is out of canada but he got a call for an interviuw they also request him to bring more evidence and his passport , his background check was already sent like a month ago ... i juat want it to know if anyinw face this and what happens then . Which visa office? My husband had an interview, though it was more to clarify some information . Do you know why your husband was called?
The interview is meant to confirm or clarify some of the details that was provided in the sponsorship application and also get to understand your marriage/relationship better.........the visa officer during the interview may want the PA to discuss the genuineness of your marriage/relationship........so its very important that the PA be honest, confident, calm, and clearly discuss your marriage/relationship as it is in your current sponsorship application........if the visa officer is okay with the PA answers during the interview, the VO will proceed with processing the sponsorship application.
More evidence to proof marriage/relationship to sponsor is requested when you did not provide enough support documentation in your application........so review the checklist (Part B - 7...Proof of Relationship to Sponsor) for additional documents......you make provide letters from family and friends, social media post like on Facebook to show friends recognize your marriage, etc.
The PA is required to go with their travel passport when they attend the interview for identification purpose.

It is so weird because i provide a lot of evidence from Facebook post between us , chats, pictures, letters from family and friends , plane tickets , and also our relationship history from both points of view... in the llettwr that he got said that they need aome information new of apur relationship and as well said that the interview was made regarding his permanent resident card... but i was just wondering if rhey would told him at the interview that he's been accepted . I already got a letter like more thatn a month saying that I qualified to be a sponsor and they ask him to provide his police background check and it was se as well...we are really hoping that we could get an answer that day if his been approved or not
Our interview wasn't really because they were questioning our relationship. We have children coming also and they wanted to request additional documents to ensure the kids have been given permission to travel also .
In our case my husband was told on the spot that he had passed the interview as long as he was able to supply the documents they requested, which he did . I know another person was told on the spot that she had been denied .
So they can tell you in the spot that you've been approved, or denied, that they need more time to look into the application, or they can request more information .
My husband had taken more proof of our relationship anyway. He had it really well organized . That also impressed the officer. She said a lot of people will turn up empty handed . She didn't actually look at the stuff he'd taken, but the fact that we'd spent so much time and effort preparing everything showed our intention also .
