I have an IEC, but my partner does not qualify?

I have an IEC application accepted, but my partner can not qualify as he is over the age of 30 (from the UK)....

Is there anything he can do to join me on what i hope to be an amazing experience and absolute dream for the 12/24 months?

See the section about non accompanying dependants. Basically you would need to secure after arriving in Canada a job classified as 0,A or B for a spouse or common law partner to be able to apply for a work permit of their own.
