hi leon,

my wife is planning to sponsor me to go live with her in canada. however, my ex-wife has been extremely uncooperative with regards to my children. eldest is 17, then 15, then 12.
as of now, it is 100% sure that they will not come with me for any medical. they wont even provide any identification card or any passport information to include in my application.

in this case, is it enough for me to just prepare a statement that my children know i will never be able to sponsor them in the future, or is there a form, or procedure that i should follow?

im a filipino but im working in the uae.

My husband sponsored me in and I am planning on landing, but I noticed that I need a letter of recommendation from my employer. What needs to be on that to guarantee my acceptance at the border? Has anyone had to complete this yet?

You don't need an employer letter.

You need to document your efforts to have the medical done. What is the custody arrangement?

hi
me and my wife studied together.it dates back to 2003 when we went to the same university. we got married in december 2017. we do have some contact proof for all these years and met too whenever i went back home ( i have been working overseas all along) but pre wedding no pictures proof. pictures of wedding events and honeymoon etc are there. should i write some explanation stating that there are no pictures of us before we got married?

any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks

I have a question regarding obtaining criminal clearance for my spouse from the Canadian police (Inland application). Clearance from the home country will obviously be attached

Do I need to have it done prior to applying or they will send a request for it (Clearance check from RCMP) if this document is needed?

Thank you

Hello All,

I am filling up the forms for the spousal application under Family class as my wife stays out of Canada. One of the additional or country specific document that I also have to submit is the "IMM5562 (Supplementary travel information)". As I am the sponsor for my wife, should the travel details of mine (sponsor & spouse) also be filled in that application?

As I was browsing the internet, i find a difference of opinion in some of the forums. It would be very helpful if anyone can guide me who has already filled the application and was successfully received their AOR.

Thanks

hi leon,

thanks for the reply.
the kids are with their mother.

hi canuck_in_uk,

thank you .

there was no legal agreement granting the custody of the kids to their mother. i have been an expat for 13 years so it was understood that the kids will be with her.

although our marriage has been annulled since 2012, the discussions regarding properties, custody and visitation rights have been bogged down due to the mother's unwillingness to cooperate.

the kids, especially the eldest, now share their mother's sentiments, and with coaching from her, will say what she wants in court.
