Hi, so i was enrolled in kpu for may batch and arrived to canada in april.
When i attended the info session i got to know that all classes were on waiting and i have to drop the semester.
Now i took full refund from college and applied on other colleges for Sept batch.
My question is.1. Can i work legally? What do i do?
2. Is it fine if i get admission in Jan?

1) No you cannot work unless you are enrolled in the current semester.
2) Yes its fine as long as your study permit is Valid.

1) Thankyou so much.
2) I have the permit for 2 years. Are you sure they do not question that have been not enrolled for that long because of admission issues.? Or anything at all.

You cant work if you are not a full time student, it might be cheaper to go home and come back once school starts.
Your study permit requires that you be a full time student, you can't stay in Canada without studying, if your school has an immigration advisor talk to them or better yet talk to a an experienced lawyer. I think you only have 90 days to apply for a change in status since it became invalid so you need to act quickly.

When you dropped from college, they should have reported you to IRCC which starts the clock, did you inform IRCC that you are switching schools?

Your studies are over because you dropped out.
You can't stay there on a study permit without actually studying.
