Good evening every one, I was wondering how would it work combining different work noc experiences for a CEC application.
I have 14 months of part time work as a restaurant assistant manager (Noc O), and 8 months of work as insurance advisor NOC (B) that is full time. will the 14 month count as 7? so I would have 7+8 =15?

thank you!

Multiple part time qualifying jobs will work for CEC. You need to calculate the full time equivalent weeks and have a total 52weeks full time to qualify.
Full time is counted as 30 hours or more. So for any week where you worked under 30 hours add those hours to your total. For any weeks where you worked 30 or more hours add 30 hours to your total. If you have a total of1560 hours (30 x 52 weeks) you have the 12 months experience you need.
So for the 14months it will depend on how many hours you worked each week what number of equivalent full time weeks that represents.

thank you for your prompt response, I have actually mistype my initial question. I have full time experience for 8 months, can I combine that with my part time experience of 14 months ? (assuming it would be 7 month ETA)

You can combine but the part time 14 months would only count as 7 months full time if you were working a minimum of 15 hours per week. If you were working for example 10 hours a week for 60 weeks (14months approx) that would count as 600 hours or 20 full time equivalent weeks. How many hours a week did you you work when part time?

I worked at least 25 hours/week as part time , some days i did more, some days I did exactly 25, never less

Based on that it looks like you might have over 1500hours part time or 50 weeks minimum, plus your full time.

Hi all, based on the notes above, I was wondering if part time hours of less than 10 hours also qualify - as long as everything can total the required hours to be eligible for CEC?

Thanks.

Hi @monkeyspanner I am in a similar situation. My employer has written my average number of hours on my letter because the part time hours were varying. So it came out to be 22 hours per week average. The job was from October 30 2017 to October 5 2018. In express entry I could enter only month and year. So are the jobs considered month to month? Or according to the exact dates on reference letters? How will my jobs be counted?

IRCC count 30 hours and above as full time working. They quote 1560 hours in a year to qualify but this is calculated as 52 x 30. Therefore in any one week you can count a maximum of 30 hours from one or more qualifying jobs. The letter should be fine in stating an average but you should do a detailed analysis of your weekly hours to see how many hours qualify as any hours over 30 in any one week do not count. This means that you may have worked a total of 1500 hours but not all the hours would count if you worked more than 30 hours in one or more weeks. You can also count up to two weeks leave if you did not have paid lleave within your employment period. As you say the profile system only counts month and year but the actual dates would be considered in any application. HTH

Hi
Thanks. My limit was max 29 hours per week and that is also mentioned on the letter so in any week I was not allowed to go beyond 30 hours. But is it the same way for FSW? I see this thread is for CEC.
