Omg THANK YOU SO MUCH! I was able to link it!!!!! I was SOOO worried. I cried after i was successfully able to link it!!!! Thank you sooooo much! It says its processing!!! So hopefully they will send my AOR soon!!!

Don't worry because in the application it has to be 1 if no other dependent. So basically he is the only one who is applying for PR. Just to link online you have to put 2 coz u are also part of sponsorship and need approval.
Try calling CIC, they will know about your application.

Hello friends ,
My application was received on April 26 and i’m still waiting for AOR1 , i called CIC today and the rep gave a number starts with letter ‘F’ and its of 10-digits long, she didn’t confirm thats the file number but can any one of you please confirm if this is how file number looks like . Thankyou so much !
File numbers are indeed assigned with an F and then a string of numbers for Family class applications.

However, IRCC does issue each file with a temporary number as soon as it's received, and then a permanent file number when it's been accepted for processing. I don't know what the temporary number looks like, so the number the agent gave you could just be a temporary number; or, and I'd think this is more likely, it is your permanent file number.

Are you able to use that number to look up the status on ECAS? https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do

Ok, I am confused and worried about the police check requirement... In the request letter it states: "At this time, you need to provide a police certificate for: 1) The country where you currently live, if you have lived there for six months or more; and 2) The country where you have spent most of your adult life since the age of 18.
Then in the supporting documents section in GCKey it lists Schedule A and "Police Certificates (multiple)". In the instructions next to that, it states "You must provide a police certificate for every country, region or territory, other than Canada, in which you have spent 6 months or more. A police certificate is a copy of your criminal record, or a declaration of the absence of any criminal record.
Example: If you visited, worked or lived in a country for two months, left for a few years, then returned for four months, that counts as spending six months there. In this case, you would need a certificate."

The issue is that my husband travels a fair bit, and has in total spent about 6 months and 12 days in the US. I am confused as to whether we need to submit a request to the FBI for a certificate from them, or do we only need it from his current country, since he is not currently in the US (as per the instructions in the letter). Does anybody have any experience or input on this?? I'm dreading having to deal with it if we do have to submit one from the FBI.

If you have to do one for the USA, you can do it mostly on line and get the results in a number of days. My husband got an email with his results 2 days after receipt of his finger prints. Good luck

That's encouraging, at least! Thanks!

When the police certificate request was in your supporting documents section, do you remember if it also said "multiple" next to it? Curious whether it always says that or that they are specifically asking for him to submit more than one.

She

didn’t say much and said this is the number they have in the system under my file but this’s not the file number. It was so confusing actually thats why i want to know how a file number looks like ?
I believe it's the file number. Try to link online

I just realized that I didnt put 2 on the number of applicants for sponsoring my husband. I only put 1. Im afraid my application will be returning. Thats the only mistake i can think of as to why i still havent received my AOR1. CIC received it on April 17th. Havent received or heard anything.
I also only put 1 in the number of applicants and mine wasnt returned. Try not to worry. We all second guess ourselves too much.

Did you not submit PCC upfront? I didnt submit also and in GCKEY, there was a request for it and it also states "multiple" but my PA hasnt been anywhere else but his country of birth. So I think it all says 'multiple'.

No I didn't submit it upfront. Thanks for responding, that helps. I didn't think they would have gone through and tallied up all his trips to decide that he would need to submit multiples, but you never know! ;)

That makes me feel better that there is also someone else who didnt submit upfront though the checklist lists it as a mandatory document. The only thing is, I havent gotten anything on sponsors approval. I heard somewhere that it could delay things. But like you said..who knows! :)

Any update if somebody waiting for Apr 30th AOR. My file was received on 30 Apr and ECAS only shows the update that they received.

Thanks
