Temporary visa rejected because of my spousal visa?

Hi there, my husband is in Canada now while I am still in Dubai. We submitted our spousal visa in April and it is currently under process. I was planning to go to Canada in August to spend 2 weeks with my husband and meet his relatives and friends. So we submitted a temporary residence visa in mid May hoping that it would be approved. I visited Canada last year for 20 days and I also own an apartment in Dubai. I thought CIC wouldn't think that I am going to over stay as it will jeopardize my spousal visa and also I won't just run away from Dubai and leave my property like that...but today I have been informed that my temporary residence visa is refused. The reasons are same old stories including my tie in the country and my financial situation I am frustrated Anybody has the same experience? Or anyone has received a temporary residence visa while your spousal visa is under process?? please share with us

The vast majority in this situation are refused. With a spouse in Canada and spousal sponsorship app in process, you are a high risk to overstay.

You may be in luck because as of 5 June residents of UAE will not longer need a visa to come to Canada. You will need to get an ETA.

You may be in luck because as of 5 June residents of UAE will not longer need a visa to come to Canada. You will need to get an ETA.

Hi thank you, but that is for "Citizens of UAE", not "Residents". I am only a resident of UAE and I am Chinese, above is not applicable to me
