My wife (applicant) received an e-mail from NXF saying our application is in queue to be reviewed by the immigration officer. But the application status on the cic website shows that the background check has not started. So it sounds like the e-mail is generic in nature and the application might still take a long time. I want to get my hopes up, but i don't think anything has progressed.

How long did they take to reply? Did you write Urgent in subject? Btw you are nearly done In shaa Allah, if your file is with immigration officer.

They took a week to reply, my wife did write urgent in the subject. Inshallah.

And in subject also mention need IMM 1017E requires.

In body of email tell them we need IMM 1017E form to complete our medical which was not sent to us till this day. And LVO is asking from us to do medical.

They will send you immediately then go for ur medical

u say that instead of waiting another few weeks or however long it will be before i get a response to my email, i should just send another email for this form?

I cant stay at my parents home since my dad passed away and my mum's a Alzheimer's patient. Theres been a dispute between us siblings because of the distribution of property. I cant go to stay with them. My husband has decided that he will quit his job and rent his house if i dont get my visa by the end of june. He works for spirax sarco and its a very good job.
I dont know what to do. He wont let me stay with anyone. Not his relatives , not my relatives.. saying you are my responsibility.
Ive tried explaining all this to the CIC and LVO a million times but nothings working.

I can feel your pain. I pray for you. I have been through much worse situations (kinda still going through).

Tell him to rent a place out for you instead of quitting, if he's living in Pakistan that's going to cause problems in ur case. The primary reason for rejection is always the sponsor not living in Canada.

They don't look at it properly until the very end. It goes in queue, that is what takes long and there are stages. Initial review, full review, case analyst, and then full or final review with an immigration officer. If they require more documents they'll tell you, if you need an interview they'll inform you. If all goes well then background, pre arrival letter comes..DM, PPR.

As you’ve stated previously, you’re a May 2017 Applicant. Which marks your 1 year now. Please don’t give up, I’m sure you’re at the very end of your process InshaAllah. All prayers for you, you’ll hear good news soon. Did you submit voluntary proofs in between the process? ( chat logs/tickets if he made any visits to you. Etc) I’ve heard it helps the case a lot

IRCC / LVO don't care about personal issues at all. They don't go by courteous matters. They go by timing and rules and their set polices.
I am a Sponsor and my mother lives with me who is already in her 80s and very sick and needs 24x7 attention as she is on medical treatments and on medicines. I have submitted her medical reports along with her Family Physician medical letter alone with my application but LVO is not going to expedite my case and it's already crossed its 10.5 months now.
Tell you hubby to stay where ever he is and let you stay with your mother. Your case already crossed 12 months so soon you will hear some good news Insha Allah!
