I sent my application to sponsor my mother today but I just realized that I forgot to include the invitation letter with barcode that notifies that I was selected in the draw for sponsoring.

Is it bad ? What can I do to avoid they return my application ?

Thanks
I think you should be ok as CIC is keep sending email reminders to the lottery winners so they must have information available. Also I didn’t get the invitation email so I used the reminder email.

I submitted my application on April 19, received in Ottawa on April 21
May I ask what information did they use to pull up your file (client id, etc) ? Also, does your ECAS reflect that your application was received yet ? Call center agents only have access to GCMS notes. I'm surprised IRCC didn't send out the AOR, if they have opened and entered your information into the system.

Dont know if it can be classified as bad, however two things are must for processing, invitation letter and fee receipt.I would advise you to send another package with invitation letter attached via overnight express or fly down to Ottawa and courier it first thing in the morning or hand it in person if possible and acceptable

The call was made about 10 days ago... I imagine if IRCC did not receive my application, I would have enough time to resend it again to ensure they have it. I have been waiting for this moment a long time ago and could not bear the idea that due to some "incident" at the Canada Post, my application is never received, and I would miss this chance because I did not call to check...
I am aware of the volume the call center receives but that is exactly our leaders/executives have promised to invest more to ensure it is a smooth process, ain't they?

You did have the Canadapost record of receipt from the tracking information so you did know that it arrived. What's done is done:)

Yes, technically you are correct, and I do not mean to brag or drag on this topic, really. But I have a friend who submitted his application for citizenship, got the application sent by Xpress post, got signature on delivered but never got to take exam or anything for about 8 months. He called to follow up and they never find his application available. He then show them the delivery notice but they said it's up to him to contact them to check. What do you think?

The agent asked me my UCI (which was on my PR card back then), my full name, date of birth, place of birth, country of birth, current resident address. He briefly said that, they opened the application, checked for completeness (perhaps they have some short of document check-list to compare our application docs against it?), and then leave the notes on the applicant UCI (maybe?). So, he told me that (at the point when I called him) IRCC has NOT entered/registered my file in their system yet hence I have not received the AOR!
He further said that, once this application is registered in their monitoring system, the system will issue the File number (or application number) and it will also print out the AOR to be sent...

Hello, I sent an application yesterday although the chance of that reaching by EOD today is really low. Lot's of delays due to back and forth between parents and us and a delayed courier from home country. Finally, when the package was ready to go yesterday, we realized that Purolator does not deliver to a PO Box address and Canada post (which is the sole courier which does) does not accept after 5 PM for next day deliveries. Fingers crossed :(

I just called the call center - agent asked me for the tracking number from Canada xpresspost, and was able to confirm that my application was received. Though they are still going through all the packages, so haven't checked my files nor registered in their system yet.

I noticed they accepted a case after due date in 2017 so.... hope

Even if the Invitation Letter mentioned that that it should be included in the package, IRCC must include the inclusion of Invitation Letter in the checklist also, that will help sponsors. I feel that the worst thing which could happen in your case is that on the receipt of the application package IRCC will ask you to provide the Invitation Letter. If you don't hear anything from IRCC regarding letter, as soon as you receive an AOR, immediately send the Invitation letter to IRCC with an explanation letter, don't forget to provide the file number in the invitation letter. The file number will show up with the AOR.
Good Luck!

this is what i had known too My parents have super visa, the first time they visited I m not sure if there was any date to leave Canada if mentioned on their passports, they stayed for six months and then they went back home. This year when they came back again still on their valid super visa, they were given a date to leave the country that is within 5 months. It looks like the two year stay is not correct or if there was any fine print which i did not read. :) Happy to hear any comments on this.
Hi super visa holder can stay up to 2 yrs but they have to tell immigration officer at airport that I want to stay 2 years if you dont tell them then super visa is like normal visitor visa. He can stamp passport 2 mnts, 3mnths or 6 mnths.
