It's surprising your current employer did not do any employment checks before hiring you and/or did not verify with the references that you provided when you accepted their employment offer.
It's simple:
If any of your work experience and/or employment documents are found to be fraudulent, you're out of the Canada visa scene for 5-years with a ban for misrepresentation.
Maybe your current employer did not realize that you submitted fake employment details, but IRCC is smarter than your employer.
Also, assuming you're successful in getting a work permit, IRCC will discover this fake work experience at some point (if you decide to apply for PR, for example)
