Hi,

My package reached to Ottawa today May 2, 2018. Is anyone maintaining spreadsheet for this group. If yes, please let me know what other details required for tracking.

Also is anyone received AOR yet, if yes then normally how much time it took to receive after delivery.

Thanks
Hi jazz_swty,
Did you send using Canada post express shipping?
I just sent mine yesterday and requested for signature. I did not realize it was a PO box. did somebody sign for you and did you request a signature?

Thanks!

got another reminder email. but no AOR yet. do they send AOR via email or post ?
Email if you provided an e mail address, however AOR is just an Acknowledgement of Receipt, it does not signify that all is well. Sponsorship Eligibility should be the a major stage to pass through. AoR will however confirm that the app is in system with file#s etc provided

true. i see from 2017 spreadsheet that sponsor eligibility usually comes 2-3 months after they receive the application.

Hello All,

First, so glad to found this community and willingness to help newbies like myself. So, big thank you :)

I have received an invite to apply for my parents sponsorship. However, I have a question/confusion on the Financial Evaluation for Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship form (IMM 5768) on Question 14 & 17.

My current situation is as follow...
me and my wife(co-signer) have 2 source of income.
Me
1) T4 (day job)
2) Self-employed (small gigs here and there)

Wife
1) T4/T4a
2) Self-employed (healthcare provider)

My question is for the self-employed income.
+ Do we write Gross business Income or we write Net self-employed / business income (Gross income (I believe it's line #164/162 ) - business expenses = Net business income (line # 137/135) . And the total of Line 101 and Line 135 = line # 150 (on the NOA).

I have filled up the form. with best of my ability. And I have used amount from line 137/135 (net business income). Please find image here https://goo.gl/H3HWsw

Thank you so very much in advance :)
I have very limited knowledge regarding taxation for self-employed, so I waited for some other experts to get back to you, given no one has till now, I thought I should suggest you something.

I just checked the screenshot you provided, to me it looks perfect, you have nicely provided the employment history in year-wise fashion.

Now you just need to make sure that whatever income related numbers you are putting are matching, your best bet to put gross income mentioned in the NOA (however, I am not sure if a self employed person, who is also employed with other company gets one or two separate NOA).

At the end of the day, you want to make sure that if IRCC officer pulls some numbers from CRA database (as per your consent), the number/ income you provided should match with CRA's. Just one more suggestion, I suggest to add income in the very first row also (for ABC Inc.), you can put income here on the basis of paystubs you have received from your employer till now.

There is only one single NOA per individual issued by CRA , it is a combination of all your various sources of income, What i did was take my T4s from two employers for last three years ie 2015, 2016 and 2017 and separated the amounts as per the T4s (as it relates to the gross income), my NOA (gross income) will be higher as it also includes rental income and other income, however i only listed my family size for those years as 4 which excludes my my Dad and Mom, if they were to do the math I would still qualify by 100% margin i.e even if my family size was 10 including my parents , i will get by.

Another issue to remember is that any newborn in next 3 years in a family will alter the LICO requirement as IRCC will ask for an updated family count in most cases during the time of processing.

Hi

You can't write gross business income. You need to qualify on the basis of your income on which you payed tax.

Example is I have company # 123456 and that company have contract for 90K per year. I am only employee in that company and give myself 45K / Year. My NOA will reflect same as well. Same will come in that column which is 45K. As IRCC is dependent to judge LICO based on your income on which you paid tax.

Hope that make sense

Good luck
