Do you have photos of when you signed the documents at all ? Just explain your situation to them, pretty pathetic how detailed and annoying they are.

Honestly, on this point I have to side with LVO. I mean it should be obvious that Nikkah is the most important thing out of all and it should be no brainer that they would want to see the pictures of the most important ceremony. Not sure why people forget this.

I wouldn't have known how important nikah pictures are. I knew because of other peoples previous experiences otherwise I would have assumed the papers would be enough. But that is strange they didn't take pictures of nikah usually everyone does regardless of immigration. Now they might as well stage one and take them lol. Wonder if they'll ask me for ruksati photos, I don't have those but then again I never stated I had ruksati in the first place.

LOL sort of, the thing is we had a nikah then after that a reception function for it and I did stay with him after nikah for some time before I returned, provided photos etc of that as well. We don't plan to have a barat and walima type function anyway. After he comes we want to have one function combined as I wanted to do the function here not in Pakistan, all relatives etc are here of mine. I explained all of that to them on my application. But ya that's probably why mines slow but I don't really understand the reason.. what can they check anyway like ok second marriage I still understand they may confirm extra documentation but like what are they going to bring out of nikah cases? Might as well join your group Loll got any popcorn while we wait and watch ?

If we think logically, both 2nd marriage and nikkah only cases are not much different from their point of view. Both cases require them to do some extra work to ensure it's all genuine. I consider your marriage as with rukhsati since you had a reception there and stayed with him. The 'walima' function is not a requirement per say. A lot of people dont/cant do it. I did not have walima function due to my own reasons but we still had rukhsati. Will LVO be all over me? You bet!

They didn't request ruksati photos maybe they will. I don't have those though because the function wasn't like a whole typical barat one and all so didn't consider it. I did visit him in January for 2 months, do you think I should voluntarily send them photos of my visit and all ? I just don't feel like dragging it on extra then they may take 10 more years to process it. Not sure if it'll make a difference

Now I do not know for sure but I would think that if you applied as Nikkah only then you probably dont wanna show them that you visited him and stayed there for 2 months? I'm thinking that they may question that what the hell were you doing with him if it was Nikkah only? lol...I dont know this, I'm thinking in black n white.

Loll nikah means you're officially married, we aren't that conservative that we cannot live together. I feel like LVO thinks Pakistani people live In the stone ages. In the application I told them we did live together after nikah function, I provided pictures as well.

I'm with you, but the way I understand our paki :p culture is that Nikkah only means you dont live together. Only after so called 'rukhsati'.

Islamically, yes you can live together after Nikkah because thats all is required.

If you told them you lived together then you should not have applied as Nikkah only. Man...I'm all confused myself now :p:D

But I didn't state the application as nikah only. I just put down everything truthfully,
We had a dolki type function, then nikah, then reception. I basically let them assume and decide if they consider this marriage or Nikkah only LOL..now they can go crazy thinking about that themselves ;)
