Hello Folks,

I'm preparing my wife and my citizenship application and have this question please:

- I'm going to send both applications together as a family. Do I have to include that USE of Representative form?

THanks

Also just to clarify: Your wife must sign her application. You are in fact not filing in her name. All you do is send the application together in the same envelope.

The spouse can fill "use of a representative" form if the spouse wishes to check up on the other spouse's status. Otherwise CIC will not communicate to the one spouse on the other spouse's behalf.

In other words the husband, for example, will not be able to know the status of his wife's application process, unless the husband's name is on the "use of representative" form with the wife's application.
