Hi,

I am planning to apply for citizenship on May 12th along with my wife and child. Please refer some good links that will provide information to prepare application and gather documents.

I have some questions,

1. Photocopies of Passport - Is it enough to take first and last page of indian passport of current passport for 5 years?
2. What all can be shown as personal identification for child?
3. Do we need to apply/pay for "citizenship certificate" along with the application?

Thanks for your help.

You better read very well the citizenship guidelines @ IRCC website.

They don't ask for all the pages with stamps anymore? Huh... I spent fortune on the postage because I had to pretty much copy two whole passports lol

No need to pay for the citizenship certificate... a first time application will get one during the oath ceremony....

lol NO! I didn't even send them the signature page. Just a single photocopy page of the biographic page. Was a color copy, though.

Definitely, it is good. The information are more generic there and not elaborate. Thank you, xylene
Thats the most elaborate and genuine website for most of the questions. For example the document checklist provides information on Child's personal identification : https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/pdf/kits/citizen/cit0008e-2.pdf
Same with adults as well. Only biographical pages are required. It is on the CIC.gc.ca website.
List of documents are in the instruction guide : https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...izenship-minors-under-18-years.html#CIT0003E4
