It just means that some information has been withheld under that particular clause. You will find S.15 or S.19 or S.16 etc.. It doesnt necessarily mean you are under security screening.. I read someplace that it could also mean that your Security Check is under process.. This depends on a case to case basis... Go thru GCMS notes carefully and see which all sections are blanked out.. could be Security Could be Organised crime etc..

What does your page 2 of GCMS say

Yeah you're spot on mate. I've done my own research and have also spoken to some well versed people on the security part. And their opinion is that my background is in progress and that there's no need to be concerned about.

It's just that I'm so annoyed because my file was gathering dust at the LVO for 5 months and then it was picked up on 18/12 when the eligibility was updated to passed. And since then no movement on it at all.

On GCMS the security pages in middle of the notes are completely blank as mentioned in my previous post. On page 2 criminality, medical and eligibility are all passed and Info sharing all cleared with no match. Security and org ceime doesn't have anything against them. And down the bottom of page 2 it says the following:

Application Assingment:
Assinged to: BCxxxx
Assinged by: MTxxx
Due date: 28/02/2018

I didn't understand what this due date business means because this due date and the date on which my file was last updated are same. Any ideas?

A friend of ours who resides in Canada has just raised GCMS yesterday. Lets c what happens.

We called CIC in march but was of no use. They read what was in our Feb email reply and told us it will take time and to wait.

Nope .. It just means security is under process.. maybe we are all under Security screening (Maybe).. Its a guess I am willing to hazard.. The sames the case in our GCMS so we have kind of taken it for granted that we are under Security Screening... You can get more from CBSA notes but I feel that will only add to our pain rather than easing it and may or may not speed up the process.. Yes ordering GCMS is a slight nudge to CIC that your file is around and needs attention

Order GCMS as it gives some idea of what the file has gone thru.. In our case Criminality, Eligibility, Medicals (have been extended till Jan 2019), Info sharing is passed... I guess we (my case) are under Security screening and thats whats taking such a long time.. We are May 12th AOR - FSWO and paid RPRF in July (upon request). Our BGC has been going on since August last week..so its only a case of wait and watch what happens

Yes we did ...as recently as last friday.. after 40 minutes of holding and 12 minutes of chat with the agent (who was trying to be helpful), we got to know what we already knew thanks to GCMS.. that Criminality is Passed (recently as per her and quite a while ago as per GCMS) and that they are actively working on out Security (BGC - I guessed).. Like I siad..might be a Nudge to let CIC know that our file is around somewhere waiting decisioning.. ;-)

5th of May, which is in 10 days time. I've sent them an extension request today. So let's see what's the response like.

My medicals expired a month back and I have still not received a re-medical or extension update or email which is strange. I've sent emails and no response. I ordered my 2nd set of GCMS notes end of Mar 2018 and got it on 19th Apr and everything is still the same as what it was when I ordered my GCMS in Jan 2018. Security and Background check has not started. I really wonder what's going wrong and what the delay is all about.

It means they've finally started working on our files. Both myself and this another chap whose AOR is also May received a Schedule A request. I'm hoping it's a good sign so keeping my fingers crossed.

Eligibility and Security screening has not started yet per GCMS. Looks like its been pending for over 6 months now and that's frustrating
