PLEASE HELP PPL. POSTING AGAIN-

Guys, me and wife are sponsoring my parents and I have 1 unmarried brother but not inviting him. I understand that my dad will be Primary applicant & mom will be his dependent, however, In the form IM0008 Generic application Ques# 3 asks how many members are included in this application.
Under instruction guide it says this -

"Indicate the total number of family members included in your application. This includes yourself and any family members, regardless of whether they intend to accompany you to Canada or not."

Now I am confused if my answer should be 2 or 3. Do I have to count my brother here? The reason I am confused it because in Form IMM5768 for Ques 3(A) i mentioned that there are 2 ppl in my current undertaking but I noticed that this question references to IM0008 Ques#3. Can someone please help me understand this? Help is appreciated in advance.

Just a quick question. How would you fill out if you have been doing two separate jobs at the same time? Would you suggest writing down the gross income of both of these jobs separately from both the T4's? Or would you still suggest writing them by following your example?

Secondly, the family size under Employment History in Q#14 means the sponsor, sponsor's spouse, and dependent children only? Or do we also have to count the principal applicant (i.e. sponsored person)? In my case, it's myself, my wife, and 4 dependent children. And I am sponsoring my mother only. My father is deceased and my mother has no dependents. So am i writing the family size as 6? or does it have to be 7?

Please advise.

I will recommend you to use the annual income mentioned in Notice of assessment (NOA) for past three years. I am not confident about putting individual incomes mentioned in individual T4s for individual employer.
Basically you make two things clear in section 14. of this form IMM5768
1. where you worked in 2015, 2016, 2017 and beginning of 2018
2. how much you made in year 2015, 2016, 2017 and beginning of 2018

Assuming that in year 2017, you worked for two employers (Employer 2 and Employer 2.1) and made $100,000 in total in year 2017 (as per NOA), I would suggest you the below format to apply. I will also suggest you to put in brackets 'this was my second job/ employer' infront of employer/ company name.

Also as shown under columns for gross income in 2017, draw a big bracket to show that you are showing a combined income

Good Luck!

Type the required info in English, print the form and write in native language with hand.
Issue is i have already submitted the application package without names in native language on it.

so, I can redo the forms with native language names, but is it advisable to resend the corrected forms with cover letter ?

i submitted my application 2 days back.

Is your brother a Dependent, i.e is he 22 year old or under? If that's the case then you have to put 3 in Q3 of IMM 0008 and Q3A of IMM 5768.

But he is over 22 year old age, in generic application you are going to put 2 as the number of family member Q3 of IMM 0008 and Q3A of 5768. That's because your brother's is not a dependent, his name will not be included in the Generic Application form.

Good Luck!

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Along with the documents, do I need to certify my PR card copy or only photo copy is sufficient?

Sorry to hear that! I hate to say, but it's better to wait till you get the file number i.e. AOR or wait till IRCC gets back to you.
As soon as you get a AOR with file number send them the correct letter with an explanation letter, regardless of they get back to you or not. You never know, they might not get back to you now and all of sudden you are hearing back about the form after a year or so, that will delay your process significantly.
Meanwhile keep that form ready, because it will require your parents signature.

1. The signatures will be required infront of the typed/ printed name. Your best bet is that you fill all the forms and email them to your family back home and get your Father and other family members to sign the documents. After emailing suggest them to follow the following chronolgy:

  • Download
  • Validate (click validate button on the forms)
  • Print & Sign in Blue ink preferably (its very important that the forms which have Validate option, are validated first before printing)
  • Courier the signed forms back to Canada via the fastest courier company in Nigeria
  • And once documents are received in Canada, get your Mom to sign in the required areas

(I sent the same INSTRUCTIONS TO MY PARENTS BACK HOME :) )

Avoid sending scanned or photocopies of forms (as per IRCC instruction guide 5772).

2. The generic form is getting filled by the principle applicant, in your case it's your MOTHER (you can help her in filling the form for sure), therefore she will be putting 3 (herself, your Father and Brother). Please note that she has to put the number as per the total family size, not as per who is coming to Canada. For example if a family has Mom, Dad, a son and daughter and the daughter is not coming to Canada, even then, in that Question:3 of Generic application form the number will be 4 not 3.

Hopefully this help![/

Hi I have a question, sorry if it’s already asked in this forum, I already send my parents form for them to sign but I leave the date blank for them to write the current date by themselves do you think it will be ok if the dates written by hand too, because some where type written thanks in advance for the reply

I also made same mistake - submitted the form filled with just in English :( - already submitted the application :(
dont know - is for that reason they will send application back ?

how they communicate AOR - via email ?

Maybe they won't send application back for that, but be proactive and keep the form ready with your parents original signatures. As soon as you get AOR with file# send them the form with native lnguagae, looking at the other applications timeline you will get an AOR within 2 - 3 weeks. Yes the AOR is going to come via email.

Upon receipt of AOR of application in Ottawa, who's information should be entered into the search for ECAS? Mine (as a sponsor), or my mother's (as primary applicant)?

I received emailed AOR but cannot look up in ECAS or link to an account.

Thanks in adv

Hi I am just wondering whether I can sponsor my mom only. My dad is too weak to come here. I have been invited to apply for my parents. Dad's physical condition is such that he can not even travel more than a km.
