Has anyone tried walking to the test center to inquire about their application status in person?

The topic says it all. Do you think it's doable?
How would you do that? There’s no need to do that when they have other Resources you can use,you all ready have your PR you just have to wait up to 12 months until they process your citizenship application which is way better than years ago.

I doubt they would even let you in lol
Agreed. You would likely need to talk to the case officer processing the application and you won't be able to just do a drop-in appointment. The best you could hope for is go talk to some front-desk person who would be marginally better than calling the general call centre.

Get your local MP involved and use them to get help/updates from IRCC.

I request notes every week, call CIC every couple days, got my MP involved, moved to a new place and got that MP involved.

Thanks for the advice OP, I'll look at the test dates and see if I can get there this week.

Pro tip: apply for the right government job, it can help with getting priority processing of your application.

No judgements but this is really a case of extreme here.
