First off, thank you so much for thank you so much for the detailed guide - it really has put some things into clarity!

However, I have a question that pertains to my proof of funds. My husband and I have most of our funds tied up in property in South Africa. We are willing to sell, but will only do this if we know that our application has been successful. So, our timing from beginning to end needs to be spot on. That being said, I am reluctant to sell on a slim chance of getting that guarantee or knowing that Canada is a definite.

To add to this, we have some funds in savings as well as with our retirement funds. Upon research, it looks like we can tap into these but I concerned that with the current South Africa exchange rate we may fall short of the required amount. Based on this, could we use our savings (fixed term and retirement funds) along with a letter from an estate agent on how much our property is worth (minus the debt on the home loan)? If I can use the sale (or more so the potential sale) of our property we will be well within the required funds. I would also like to try to get the balling rolling and timing for the OINP application is slowly running out.

Hi ,I submitted my express entry profile in October 2017 and recently I could improve my score to 438. I happened to see some NOIs awarded were for EE submitted between 1 Jan to 28 March. So, am I out of contention for next call since I submitted profile last year?
Should I make a new profile and submit again?

You should definitely create a new profile. Withdraw the older one, and re-create a profile to update your CRS. OINP is issuing NOIs for EE profiles created from Jan 1 onwards.

Hi everyone,
Regarding the proof of funds required, currently we have the funds in fixed-term deposits (6 months term) and their maturity is close to this date.

We are not sure if the right thing to do is to cancel or to nenew these deposits. We are confused about the "readily transferable" concept for the proof of funds requirement.

Will it be acceptable a certified copy of term-deposit certificates? or do we have to cancel them, put the money in a personal sight savings account and ask for letter issued by the bank where they explain that the money is in sight and readily to be used at any time, clarifying hat the funds were previously in a 6 months term deposit?

Thanks in advance.

Is there any chance for 390 CRS to get NOI as my NOC is one of the ICT occupations.
Yes but you would have to be:
A - A French speaker
B - have a valid job offer from Ontario
C - be able to qualify under their business streams

Given the situation with current ITA, they have people people with CRS 400+ that would gladly apply should they receive NOI.

Will 400 work to get ITA?

Hi,

I also included fix term deposits as my proof of funds. All I did was get a letter from the bank to say it’s free from debt , easily liquidated and how much it will be if I want to liquidate it as at the date I was requesting.

I hope this helps

Good luck
