I know SGVO is kinda slower than the other VOs but from my experience, they are more responsive to queries.

1) When I added my spouse halfway the processing, I usually get replies within 24 hrs, and the longest will be 2 days.

My husband’s name and UCI was added to the CIC account on the same day I submitted the additional documents for my spouse. Some VO’s will take months to do this.

2) I even told them to update the status of “Additional Documents Required” when I have already submitted the documents but there was no update to it. After 6 hours, the status was already “No documents required”.

3) When I requested to create new placeholder for RPRF receipt, they immediately acknowledge it by adding new slots to my CIC account.

4) When I emailed them to inquire on the status of my application on the 6th month (processing time for PNP-EE), I got the PPR letter after 12 hours.

5) I also requested to expedite the passport stamping. After 2 days, I collected my passport from VFS.

My interaction with NDVO (my husband submitted his passport in India) - not a single reply at all!

In fairness to SGVO, they are doing their work to keep applicants updated for relevant and urgent queries, unlike NDVO.

You can't be serious. Just look at the tracker for PPRs from SGVO this year and compare to the likes of NDVO or LVO.
Look at the "awesome" reply texts people get from SGVO (go through this thread a few pages back). It's not even a worthy comparison.

Like I said, that’s my experience. I chased NDVO for 3 weeks for my husband’s passport stamping since our visa is expiring next month but never got a single reply from them. They took their own sweet time, but SGVO politely replied that they put mine in the urgent queue.

A friend added his spouse to his application 4 months ago, sent tons of CSE and emails to NDVO, till date status is still “medicals not received” when he had already sent it.

It’s a case-to-case basis. The VOs are unpredictable like CIC. If you look at my timeline, I added my spouse halfway the processing but still got the PPR as per the processing time, that is with constant communication with SGVO.

But, above are not big issue in comparing giving PR to applicant

It is a big issue for me. Look at my timeline. Adding a spouse in the middle of the processing would usually delay it, but it didn’t for me.

Well, you can say it was processed faster because I applied through EE, but my profile is not straightforward. I have never read in this forum with the same circumstances as mine. My marriage is also not common (yes, I was asked about it through an interview too). I have extensive travels with rejected PR applications (not just once) in another country.

I am in this forum to help and not to argue with anyone. I am just sharing my experiences with the two VOs that worked on my application, and I wish you all the best.

I agree. This is not the right forum to argue. What is important is we share our experiences and from them figure out our next move or ask relevant and helpful questions. While I agree that SGVO replies quite fast, I think they filter who to reply depending on the urgency of the question/information, etc. Like for myself, when I asked if I have to get a new police clearance since at that time it will pass the 1 year mark already, on that day I received a reply from them asking me to renew and send to them a new one. When I forwarded the new police clearance from them. They did not reply to me until I follow up again to confirm if they received it. They replied again on the same day to confirm that they received my new police clearance.

@elizie,
My police clearance certificate issue date has already passed 1 year. But I did not find any end date of validity in my Police Clearance Certificate. In this case, do you think I need to send them new PCC?

Two more days to declare new medical rule. I wish with finger cross that after 12th April SGVO will start issuing MR.:):):)

I see others paper based PCCs more than 1 year but CIC/local visa havent asked for new PCCs. Mine also above 1 year. But it we ask SGVO, they may ask us to update it.

I actually asked them before it expires. I just want it ready to avoid further delay. So I forwarded it to them before my old PCC expires. Hopefully that would be the last as it will expire again in January 2019.

But do you have expiry date written on your PCC? If it is not how do you know that it has 1-year validity? Though I heard about it as lots of people saying but I haven't found it anywhere written.

In Document Checklist form IMM 5690 E, item 15 about Police Check and Clearances with the note that PCC are generally considered to be valid for one year from date of issue.

Do you think new medical rule will be approved?
Only half a day more we will know.
