Good afternoon,

Do you apply for the super visa through paper method instead of online like Express Entry etc? So does all of the relevant applicant documents have to be couriered to the appropriate visa application center as hard copies?

You can either apply as a paper submission or online.

If you apply as a paper application then you/your representative would need to submit the application, in-person, at the VAC

Hmmm that's interesting, I was looking how to apply online for supervisa to parents but didn't see that. Can you give me some direction of what to do? I read the supervisa instructions but it pointed me to the paper method.

When I tested out the eligibility for online, it just told me to apply for an eTA. I didn't receive an option for a supervisa even though I said to temporarily stay in canada for more than 6 months. I am a PR but I was testing it out for my parents.
As your parents are from a visa-exempt country, they need to apply for a "Letter of Introduction' which they must present to the officer at the POE when they arrive. They would then be allowed to stay for up to 2 years on initial entry.

I assume your parents already have eTAs or else must apply for eTAs. They cannot board the flight without this

Yeah @Bryanna they do (which is the less confusing part) but even with the introductory letter, it still relies on getting an approved super visa (which i'm trying to do online but cannot find where to do that). When I go to apply for the visitor visa (after signing into the GC key), it asks for a personal reference code which I cannot get through that eligibility test. Just says get an eTa. So how can they apply for this letter of introduction instead?

Do email their local visa office because the eligibility test won't give you the option to apply for a super visa. It stops at eTA
