Hello everyone please i need your help i failed my medical with one test being positive, I have taken treatment under the Canadian standard, my application now is in its last phase for a decision to be made. Am so worried because I don't know what the Visa officer in Dakar Senegal will write. Please help me thank you.

Yes - they are exempt. But a medical condition can still slow down or even halt the processing of your application. For example, if you have a disease like TB, it will have to be treated and the test will have to be negative before you will be allowed to come to Canada.

You are Excessive Demand Exempt (cost to Canada for your medical needs) but you are not exempt from the Public Health/Safety inadmissibility.

If you are an active TB carrier, you come under the second category.

. Thanks alot for your reply it has reduced my worries now, I am Still waiting for them to finish with the processing of my medical results and hear what they will say.
