Really the spot is going to be left empty and IRCC will draw another in second round to make up for it. Still, it's a bad move and waste of government resources
Since they drew more than 10K spots, there may not be a 2nd round this year.

Hi everyone,

I have some questions and hope someone can help me:

1. I am married but no kids yet, and I am sponsoring my mom without a co-signer. My mom is divorced (10 years) ago. Is it correct to put 3 as the family size (me + husband + my mom)? Also will I need to submit my mom's divorce paper?

2. I have a sister she's 27 years old (single, not married), lives in Canada and getting her PR (she just got medical request last week so it should be soon). She is not financially dependent to my mom, so should I include her as my mom's dependent children?
(Also on form IMM0008 question #3)

Really appreciate your help!
1 - Yes family size 3. Yes you need divorce certificate.

2 - Anyone aged 22 or over is NOT a dependent

I have question on From: IMM5768. What should I enter in family size in Question 14 and Question 17

Parents being sponsored : 1 Mother

My Family details:
2018: 3 , husband, wife and a baby
2017: 3 , husband, wife and a baby
2016: 3 , husband, wife and a baby Born in Aug-2016
2015: 2 , husband, wife

Total Family size for Income Threshold: 4

What it should be:
1. Do I need to enter 4 for all the entries
2. The real family size according to date range + Parents being sponsored
2. The real family size according to date range ( Excluding Parents being sponsored )

Hello I have question about income requirement.
My income for 2015 and 2016 is 66k and 63k and 2017 is 85k

2015 and 2016 my family size was 4,
2017 with my little one My family size become 5 ( including my parents )

For 2015 and 2016 is my family considered as 4 and income reqirementi is 57 k ?
(Because My 2016 income is less by 2k than requirement for family of 5, but enough for 4 people)

Or I have to go by family size of 5 for 2015, 2016 and 2017. ?
Thanks

Family size as of Today is considered for all the years. if it is 5 , use 5 to match income requirements.

Yeah, probably not. I think we only got a second round because there was a lot of complaints as to how the first round was done. I doubt we'll get as much this round - it was done better than the previous rounds. Not the best, I would have preferred a fee to fill out the form, or a weighted preference, but better nonetheless.

Sidenote: I want to thank all those who don't hesitate to tell the ineligible folks that they shouldn't have applied in the first place. Small relief for those that were eligible but didn't get drawn. (Like myself, been trying since 2014 and waiting to do so since 2011... lol.)

4 in all years. They only give you 1 caluclation for family size, and that is as of today. IRCC is not interested if you met income for lower family size previously that isn't applicable to your situation today.

Judging by other replies on this thread, no, you're not eligible because they look at your family size at the time of application.

You have to use family size of 5.

I thought same. But then why ask family size by date rage. They have that number from page 1. This table is confusing me.

Size of 5 in all years. Need to show you have 3 years consistent income supporting your family size as of today.

2017 $67,400
2016 $66,654
2015 $65,377

Seems you don't meet the income requirement in 2016 if you only had 63K income, so if you were selected in lottery you wasted a spot.

No I didn't wasted. I was planning not to add any cosigner but now I will add my spouse for co-signer.
My family income is over 110k in last 3 years.

If your family size changes after the app is submitted, then income requirement will only be affected going forward. So if you sent in a revised form later, there may be higher family size in later years.

Yes you definitely need co-signer. Is good to do anyways, just in case your income went down in any year for any reason you are not allowed to randomly add a co-signer later (unless you family size changes).

What if the baby comes into family when your application is in process, would they still go back to 2015 or from that year?
