If you read previous posts people have asked this so so many times. There really isn't anything else after this. You just simply wait. And all cases are different some are faster than others. Usually nothing happens for the first 5 to 8 months after LVO transfer. Generally speaking they'll have an initial review first where they check your file to see if anything else is needed at times if they wish they ask for a few additional information or decided whether or not you need an interview or additional pictures etc that's usually when the eligibility begins. After that they will begin background check some are fairly quick while others aren't, you have to check GCkey and see when it begins (varies from a day to weeks) from when it shows on GC. Lastly will be the final review when background check is completed/results come in then ecas at that point changes to decision made and they'll request your passport. Again generally it's been 5 to 8 months after LVO transfer. When you say step by step in timeframe that isn't really something they tell anyone, this is based generally total time it takes after LVO I don't think anyone has a step by step timeframe as I feel it really does vary case by case. The end.
Most people here do their own cases and help eachother here. I would probably say that's a better idea. Lawyers don't care the same way you would yourself that was my perspective when I applied and I'm glad I chose to do it myself. Learned so much and was able to get access to everything myself as well easily
I completely agree with humy.11.23. It would be a good idea to talk to a lawyer if you, say, get a procedural fairness letter or something, but considering how much they charge for a basic spousal sponsorship ($8000 at a law firm in Halifax), there absolutely no need if your situation is straighforward. If you're having a hard time with the language, then maybe. But even then, your MP's office may be able to help you. I know that mine actually helps people fill out the forms (to some degree at least), so I would try that first.
Basically, I would say give it a try without a lawyer, and only get one if you really feel you can't do it alone. On top of the fact that it's expensive, it doesn't really help you that much. You care more about your case than some lawyer does, so you're better off relying on that instead of relying on a lawyer that doesn't care nearly as much. Furthermore, like humy.11.23 alluded to, you won't be able to have direct contact with IRCC and you won't be able to check your GCKEY if you have a representative. This makes it more stressful, and makes it so you have to rely on the lawyer relaying information to you.
Exactly, it gets very stressful if you have to consult a lawyer for every little detail when you can easily access it yourself. Cic instructions are very good and thorough, I followed that step by step, it is still easier now than it used to be. As well this community is a life saver, it helped me so much and I learned a lot.

I received an email from them, the file awaits a "full" review. What does that exactly mean anyway ? Last time I emailed months back they mentioned it awaits an initial review.
I also received a reply back from LVO and it says it awaits a full review.. not sure what that means.
This mean many things are in process in background. When all of the reports come from those processes , your final review will be done and your eligibility will be concluded along with security screening etc.
Hopefully when your eligibility is done, they will send you letter for interview or PPR .
You can get help from this thread and you can ask questions here about your case. Or get some help from seniors here by contacting them in private conferencing.
If you have complications of certain type in your marriage or case. They will recommend you for lawyer.
Otherwise wasting money on lawyer is not good.
Good practice is ,prepare your case application nicely and keep things to the point. Do not write extra stories . Extra writings about situation can raise extra questions. If you need to explain something explain in little and precise words.
All depend what is in your case.
The more it take now is better than it take later.
Right now your eligibility is in process along with security and admissibility.
If they only process your eligibility and then start your background, trust me that wait is unbearable.
